Trump was on CBS 60 Minutes show and said he doesn't want the President's salary.

He will take $1 a year instead.

Looks like he's ready to "buck" the system

He also said he will not be taking a lot of vacations either.

Not bad Don, not bad.

Confirmed: Donald Trump Says He Will Take $1 Salary as President

President-elect Donald Trump stood by his promise to reject the presidential salary, during an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes.

“The answer is no,” he said, when asked about his campaign trail promise by CBS interviewer Lesley Stahl. “I think I have to take by law one dollar so I’ll take one dollar a year.”

He admitted that he didn’t even know what the salary was, but when he was told it was $400,000 salary he declined it.

“I’m not taking it,” he said.

He added that he would not be taking too many vacations either.

“There’s so much work to be done and I want to get it done for the people,” he said. “I want to get it done. We’re lowering taxes, we’re taking care of health care.”

See, told yas Ron Paul's ethics were not lost in all this. Because that is exactly what RP always said he would do too. Basically give it back to the treasury. Although, I will admit, we're talking Trump here, not RP. Trump's wealth vastly exceeds that of most mortal men, so it's not like he's gonna miss the salary much.

But STILL. It's the thought that counts. Very good.

That is broke compared to the hundreds of millions they funneled into overseas accounts.

They will say it's some kind of IRS tax dodging trick.

Wait for it.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar use direct deposit into the Rothschild bank in Guernsey.

New trick to keep it hidden.

Wait! I thought he was very greedy and only thought about himself.

I'm very confused.

You can thank the liberal MSM scum for that.

That's why I think Alex Jones ought to be the new White House Press Secretary.

And oh, x, you might want to spell out 1 Dollar in the thread title. The punctuation glitch is annoying.

instead of working for that dollar bill

Trump should have the salary be spent on re-educating Liberal+Leftists because they are suffering a continual brain fart which causes them to demean All others who are not Liberal/Leftists with some nonsensical college degree in Eubonics

Of course they will. He is donating it to the country. If he took the salary and donated it to charities it would be a deduction, so... symantics. I hope the country donates it to charity, but we will see..... Anyway, a noble thing to do and proud of him for it.

He is going to request a fancy solid gold frame to frame that buck from the presidential expense fund though.. Our government pays way too much for things, that frame will probably cost more than his salary would have been.
