But one got to be president, while the other one got to sulk for losing, isn't that interesting.

I am certainly not disputing that my friend.

WTF is happening to ATS. Ever since the Trump win, ATS has gone full hate and lies. They spread misinformation like wild fire and show nothing but hate and contempt for all things good. It's F*CKING sad as hell.

I will tell what has happened to ats, since the election Hillary supporters like yourself have been going into perpetual meltdown and spamming the boards with absolute tripe....take a good long look in the mirror use a liberal dose of butthurt cream and get on with life instead of drowning in misery and carrying on like entitled brats...

This whole election cycle has really brought out the worst in people....

You know it was a time when I hated the popular vote, and the electoral voters, I was illiterate about its importance, now that I understand what it means, I have to say that I agree with it.

I vote every election by candidate, so I flip flop a lot, but is one thing for sure I have my fair share of supporting candidates that do not win.

I didn't mean to be nasty about my comment, in the last post, but now that I read it, it does seems to sound like that.

That was not the intention.

No worries, I did not take it that way at all. I inferred that you were simply pointing out the facts.

I so don't care who won popular vote as that is not what we go by.

Also women are the majority so anytime you men want to be governed by feminist causes feel welcome to push for the popular vote instead. And as a woman I would previously have said that's irrelevent, the nation is what matters, but apparently it's not, and apparently our genders are utterly polarized, thanks to the last decade of social media in particular. Also Hillary herself said that men just don't understand as much about "jobs and families" as women do, so you know, you guys just aren't really qualified to vote for yourself anyway. Good thing women got the vote! :-) Moving on:

Is there anything that can be -- after the fact -- legally done to find, expose, possibly prosecute or AT LEAST prevent in the future -- all the dead people voting?

Wait, that came out wrong. I'm sorry! I'm not a lifeist I swear! ZOMBIES MATTER!

Some of my best friends are zombies.

What I meant was, prevent people from casting multiple votes and/or prevent non-citizens from voting?

I want to believe the numbers, but I'll wait a little longer.

Electoral is all that matters. Popular would be icing, but the majority of the overflow is from New York and California, so all that means is she really, really, REALLY won those states.

Got a friend in Cali that told me Trump supporters knew there was no way he, or any Republican would carry that state, so most of them stay home every election. I would assume the numbers would change is it went by popular vote, but until then, Cali is a gimme for the dems, so the Republicans stay home. Same as NY. And if not for those two states, Trump would blow Clinton away with the popular vote.

Be a lot higher# for Trump if they didn't count the 3 Million illegal votes.

Newt Gingrich said that Trump won the popular vote when you count all of the votes in 49 out of 50 states. The one that put Hillary in the overall lead is CA.

If true, that speaks volumes....

ETA - made my wording more clear in first 2 sentences.

California Popular Vote:

Clinton: 6,000,586
Trump: 3,211,386

New York Popular Vote:

Clinton: 4,143,874
Trump: 2,640,570

Really?... what about the "affirmative action" of Stalin?...Minorities and entire groups of people were starved to death by Stalin. Or the actions of Lenin to conquer Ukraine, the Transcaucasian Republics, Finland and the Baltic states, etc. The only tolerance under socialism/communism is towards socialism itself, and nothing more.

Do you have any idea what type of tolerance in Cuba, and China or even in the U.S.S.R. have/had towards the LGBT community?... You really have no idea what you are talking about. Only recently, when the daughter of Raul castro proclaimed to be homosexual did Cuba ease a bit on homosexuality. But for decades the LGBT community in Cuba, same in China and the U.S.S.R. was disdained, oppressed, and even punished... People in the LGBT community who were caught were sent to prison in Cuba alongside authors that wrote about liberty and alongside other political prisoners.

You're right: the authoritarian left can be as bad as the authoritarian right. Both oppose liberal democracy. Thank you for your support for the LGBT community. I hope you will continue standing up for it here on ATS. Have a star.

Right now yes, but over the history of California, the State has voted 23 times Republican, 18 times Democrat, and 1 time other.
States can and do change political affiliation over time, which is another good reason to keep the Electoral College.

This thread belongs in the TRASH BIN.

Clinton: 61,039,676 votes
Trump: 60,371,193 votes

Clinton won the popular vote. Stop spreading misinformation.

Nope sorry, she didn't, It has now been verified by credible sources that millions of votes were fraudulent. (For Hillary of course). As if you didn't expect the DNC to cheat with Hillary as their chosen one? LOL.

So if what Newt says is true (and the man is usually very accurate - like him or not), Trump was able to overcome an approximate 1.5 million vote deficit vis a vis the NY state popular vote when adding the popular vote counts in all 49 states other than CA.

That's an amazing accomplishment in my opinion....

This is why fingerprint scans should be done for voting, we don't actually know how many of those popular votes were illegally registered voters, that are not citizens.

Simple app connecting to a federal/state mainframe (Not Hillary's house), and it would take a split second with a laptop, at the voting polls.

ACLU/etc. probably would challenge that, saying it would dissuade people from voting if they had unpaid traffic tickets or child support or anything that made them not want the government to know where they were.

Re: the guns issue: Guns would not have been a reason to vote for Trump but they are a 100% reason to NOT vote for Hillary, that's for certain. Not only for her efforts but the supreme court nom.
