Is Trump going to last? The people don't want him to be president. If he stays, he's not going to be able to do much with him being so strongly apposed by the people. Trump doesn't want to be president. You could see it as he watched the results, as he gave a clearly unscripted acceptance speech, as he met Barack for the first time after the election. You can feel it in his desire to want to maintain his primary residence in NY, as if the White House is just some side venture he can check in on when not managing his main properties - this man has no idea what he has gotten into. He entered this race for notoriety and an attempt to boost his own public profile. *Actually* being President does nothing for him. The more I think about it the more I could see him choosing not to run in 2020 if he thinks thinks aren't going his way.

Remember, this man lives in palatial mansions. The white house is a work building and the presidency is very stressful. He never thought he was going to win. He told Kasich that if he was his VP that he could handle all governing, he's just appear when he needed on TV. If he offered that deal to Kasich, I bet he said the same thing to Pence. He's already filling the white house up with lobbyists. He's not draining the swamp, he's filling it up. He knows he won't be able to implement his campaign promises. I wonder how long he'll be able to put up the act. He also said he wants to do rallies while he's president. In other words, he enjoys running for president not being president.

The part that worries me the most is that he himself said he doesn't like to read, he likes to go with his gut. We saw in the election what his gut feeling is like. His ideas are often way out there. I hope he doesn't get us into a war.

The people don't want him to be president. Reps are scared at what his win will mean in the future. Now that his supporters are seeing its clearly obvious he was running on lies that he will never implement - do they still want him? He doesn't want to be president. What's next?

What's next? He loves his lifestyle. He can't keep that while being president. The truck loads of death threats must make him regret this more than anything else. That means he'll need to be highly protected forever. Ivanka won't be able to roam around NY like she used to. All their lives are going to dramatically change. They are billionaires. They wont' want that. The secret service doesn't let the family roam around. I wonder what's going to happen? I can't picture him actually doing the job. I don't think he can keep up the act. Could he insinuate to the electoral college that they can "vote their conscience" on Dec 19? Then in secret tell them to give Hillary the presidency? We know that before this he actually said nice things about Hillary. He doesn't really hate her, he just wanted to win. He's go down in history as having won, that will be enough to make him happy. Also, Hillary being president would make him look like the good guy again. As out there as this sounds, EVERYTHING this year has been bizarre. She won the popular vote and in the past he tweeted that he didn't like the electoral college.

Whatever happens. I don't think he'll be able to last 4 years in the white house. He does not want to even be in the building.

Business wise, all that hate and all the protests are going to make his brand toxic. Letting the electoral college pick Hillary would restore his brand.

Lastly, he's 70. If he's president he'll spend his final years in the white house. By the time its over he'll be 78. 84 is the average lifespan of a male in the US. After accumulation billions, would he want to spend his final years doing something he doesn't want to do?

He didn't get elected because people opposed him. He won the election.

Your OP makes zero sense.

Ooooh, can we bet on this here? I'll wager a hundred stars and two flags that he does not finish his four year term.

I don't know why but I just feel something is going to happen and he does not finish the term.

I believe he'll last for 8.

Trump is in excellent health, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't do drugs. He wants to fix everything that's wrong with the Country right now. And it will be his legacy, and people will remember Trump for it decades from now.

Obviously the people want him as President. We just elected him as such. I certainly hope to see 4 years of Trump so I can have more information about how he operates as President in 4 years when it's time to vote again.

Didn't you say that a while back about Trump never becoming President? It's only going to be another lost bet on your part.

Yea, and then refuse to pay up like the members who bet he would drop out of the race? No thank you. And then the members who didn't pay for betting he would lose. At least most of the haters ate crow, but nobody paid up.

Anyways, yes he will last 4, and go on the serve until 2024. You heard it here first folks, a double Trump presidency, but with a different VP.

Oh.
He does not want to be there?
So... he just went through he!! for months, being abused and dragged through the mud, flying from state to state day after day giving speeches before thousands, and spent millions - just to walk away.
Umm... yeah, that makes sense.

This was a very bizarre election. He didn't think he was going to win. Dems thought she was going to win for sure. Then when he won it became real. That's when we saw people's real reactions. The people protested and Trump voters became disillusion. Its now obvious that he loved running for president but doesn't want to actually be president.

The election was very close. She won the popular vote and only 100,000 votes kept her from winning the rust belt states.

I don't think that I ever said that trump would never be president. I could be wrong, but I remember saying that I voted for trump and if he didn't win, it would be the first time my candidate I picked for president didn't win. I didn't vote every election, but I did have a candidate I favored and they always won. I have only been through nine or ten elections since I was of voting age.

Of course the people protested. MoveOn.org , a movement funded by Soros "charities" spammed everyone's face books, twitter, Instagram and other social media to go out and be angry in the streets. Throw in a few paid agitators to take advantage of the situation and beat up the real protestors trying to stop the violence, and we got ourselves a real hive mind drone army! These Storm Troopers come without a uniform!

1) almost half the voters voted for him, so yeah- they kinda do. Kinda. I voted third party- but if I thought my vote counted I would have voted against clinton too.

2) being president does plenty for him, even if he doesn't want to do it. Worst case, he could sign a bunch of crap into law to help his businesses. Just like any other corrupt piece of... well, nevermind that.

3) I also hope he won't get us into a war- but as it stands, he was the only primary candidate not to start one. I'm honestly worried obama will start one before he gets sent home.

4) They all run on lies, and anyone with half a brain stem doesn't want either of the primary candidates to win. That's the beauty of the two party system- the corrupt elites can pick the worst of the worst on both sides, and then prod us into picking what we think might be less bad. This time, we got to choose the most evil person on the planet working directly for a group who has been staring WW3 thirty years in the making, or this gameshow host.

5) If he did anything to even try to make clinton potus, they'd both get strung up by their ankles by the lynch mob. The only reason a bunch of people like clinton in the first place is because they a) fear what the MSM said trump would do, and b) don't have any interest in knowing the truth about clinton. They've gone so far as to ignore it when it's put right in their face by people who have no interest in politics and only are interested in exposing corruption.

6) the protests only help his brand in the eyes of his supporters- they're literally sitting back and making fun of said protests. A bunch of whiney kids who are stomping their feet and crying over not getting their way - but on the other hand they're the same whiners who push anti-freedom and socialist laws whenever they get the chance. His true supporters can't wait for them to get hurt and retreat to their safe spaces.

7) Yeah, he's old. No argument there. Men in my family don't even make it to 70.
Then again, so is your proposed hero, clinton. Only she's showing obvious signs of dimentia.

But, does he really want to give up his lifestyle to be president? I don't think so since he doesn't even like being in the white house. He wants to sleep on his Trump Tower bed as much as possible. You're assuming he desires the job. Everything we can see thus far shows that he has no desire to actually do the job. Obama aged a lot while being president. It's a stressful job that he didn't want. He assumed he was going to lose and didn't think about how it would change his life. Look at everything that he's done lately. You'll see he's already regretting it. His family also hates the idea. Ivanka likes to roam around NYC, she'll now be stuck in the white house all the time.

I went through my posts and couldn't find where I had. I actually voted about two weeks early I think by absentee ballot. I almost got convinced I had voted for the looser this time but I guess I picked the winner even though the odds were supposedly against me.

He enjoyed running for president, not *actually* being president. Be observant, you'll see he never expected to win. He was just having fun running for president.

When I mentioned his age I was referring to him not wanting to spend the final years of his life in the white house. He wants to live in his palatial mansions. He doesn't even want to sleep in the white house.
