The Idiot Generation

I am a female 9th grade student, I have a very popular older sister, and very....well, closed minded parents. I have as many friends I want, those who are not close to me think I'm weird or escentric. I'm lucky if I can carry on an intelligent conversation with someone about curent events or anything other that who's going to beat up who after school. What i'm getting at here is that most of Americas youth is the way it is because its seems like its cool to be ignorant, getting good grades is nerdy, and god forbid you talk to people like me. I dont think I compleatly blame the media but it is a contributing factor. I must admit I'm not an staight A student more like a B-A studentbut thats much better considering....
