I think you have made an excellent observation. The important aspect of the OP is not a comparison of Trump to Hitler, except in the techniques used in their speech, but more of the Trump supporters with the people of Nazi Germany.

You're probably one of the "3 out of 10" protesters in the streets currently that didn't even vote.

I used to be pretty left leaning, until I started to realize how hostile the left was to me simply by virtue of my skin color. You are pretty limited if you think the racism is going only in one direction. As for calling us Neanderthals for voting for Trump, I am proudly a low brow if it means an end to globalization, sending jobs over seas, a return to national sovereignty and the rule of law, and avoiding nuclear war with Russia. And frankly, our country cannot absorb any more immigrants until we start to take care of our own people, if you think me a racist for that position, so be it. And as far as the issue of racism is concerned, its the LEFT that has vilified and demonized the white working class and white males in general. For years you have told us our time is past, we are losing our country, and we are a pariah for every misdeed in our society. You also told people, millions of which live paycheck to paycheck, that they were "privileged" because of their race. The left has been harboring hostility towards white people since the early 90s. Its been building for years. I don't care about skin color, I care about jobs, security, and keeping our identity as a country . I don't think its so much that white people have problems with people of color, as that they have hostility towards us, and we have felt it. In your arrogance, did you honestly think there would never be a reaction to that? Trump didn't win the election, his MESSAGE won the election. I guess you will just have to learn to live with it, like we had to learn to live with the hostility of the left for years.

His anger is your anger. His anger is your father's anger. And you love him like he is your father. MAGA Heil! Welcome to the New Order. The Fourth Reich.

Or the city of OZ, whatever. Just remember, the smoke, noise and caricature are not real. The ones really running the show are behind this curtain.

Says someone rooting for proven corruption.

Thank you for your statement, but I know what decision I had.

Please don't misunderstand me. If you voted for Trump because he was against NAFTA that's a good vote.

But you have to admit the moment he started blaming a group of people like the immigrants or Muslims he was using proven techniques for acquiring power from low-brow voters.

He wants a ban on further immigration of Muslims into the USA until the authorities know exactly who they are. In the UK, we have a large influx of refugee children from Syria. Funny thing is that the majority are all over the age of 18 and not actually from Syria but from places like Sudan, Afghanistan and Somalia. They get in because no-one wants to question their age or nationality for fear of being called "racist" by the left wing.

Section 8 housing is the other problem. Anyone could apply for Section 8 housing vouchers, even those with a track record of criminality. It takes police 45 minutes to arrive at some locations. The only defence from home invasions is to have large dogs and your own weapons. Every time someone gets shot and killed it makes headline news. So one solution is to confiscate rifles. The other solution is to have tighter control on who gets section 8 housing.

Have to say from the media exposure here jn the UK I would agree trump voters are low brow. Now every here on ATS thinks they are intelligent/knowledgeable and less susceptible to basic human behaviours because they are "aware".

From all media interview with trump supporters ( the passionate ones that go to the events to support that is) they are what I would consider the term low brow. When pushed for why they are voting trump, none could explain why they voted trump outside "immigrants, muslims and Clinton is a criminal".
Even the ones that I perceived to be intelligent/articulated certain sentences well with a perceived k owledge on policies finalised their points with " wooooooooo trump".

From what I saw ( saw alot, British media was on it this year) none of the trump supporters displayed any empathy for foreign people. One even said we are fed up of Clinton and great Britain (lmao). All I have seen is they repeat the main limited hatred points trump said, rather than his policies in which he is trying to do good.

I'm "aware" (lol) the media is trying to portray trump supporters as uneducated hate mongering inbred and Clinton supporters as good wholesome beautiful families but they don't help themselves when they make it that easy for the media. Editors most probably took the week off.

Either way I wiuld agree, based simply on exposure and the countless interviews I have seen and heard with both parties, I would say trump supporters did fall hook line and sinker for the the hatred.

Some genuinely believe Mexico are gonna build a $20 billion wall for america. They really do

If you read their discussion forums, they clearly state exactly what they are voting against:

Fed up of seeing jobs being offshored abroad while Wall Street and The City in London profits.

Fed up of seeing pay rises being frozen while the cost of food rises.

Fed up of seeing the sole employer in some towns being closed down due to environmental and global treaties.
(Coal plants are being closed down while China continues to build two every week)

Fed up of constant federal interference in anything they do - having to get an environmental impact study just to construct a farm pond for the ducks.

Fed up of being accused of having "white privilege" simply because they studied hard while others spent their school days listening to rap music.

Fed up of affirmative action programs and other legislation that always seems to push them to the back of the queue behind everyone else if not disqualify them entirely (education scholarships, housing, work programs).

Fed up of seeing those on food stamps buying luxury food items that they themselves cannot afford on their salaries.

Fed up of having to pay extortionate medical insurance which won't even cover basic costs - deductibles are around $15000

Fed up of living in fear of home invasions by criminals while at the same time the government tries to take away their only means of protecting themselves. Meanwhile the legislators live in their gated communities with security guards.

Fed up of having to babysit the rest of the world and fighting wars that only seem to benefit one particular country in the Middle East
(They seriously believed that Clinton was going to start World War III in order to genocide white Americans)

Fed up of minority groups using the laws to make their lifestyle superior over their religious beliefs
(Gay marriage vs. Christian bakeries)

Calling them "low-row" just makes you sound like a "sneering liberal elite" or "champagne socialists" that we have in the UK.

Sorry but , you're missing the bigger picture. George Soros is the one Paying people to protest for his own agenda. And the evidences are overwhelming. And I know Donald Trump knows this as Fact which is why he said it is "Unfair"

I do wish the people who just want to shout down dissenting voices and throw insults would stop and think for a moment that this is how they felt before Trump won.

So maybe a little bit of treating others as you would like to be treated yourself might be in order?

Because the insults and mocking and 'get over its' really don't add anything to the debate, do they?

This site was compromised by something over the last several years.

Still trying to figure out what it is because it certainly isn't denying ignorance.

Alternative media has certainly made a fortune off of making people crazy - seems kind of wrong.

Well, this (s)election played only roughly 50% given the voter turnout. And that's the point where any lame Hitler analogy starts to get it's first cracks.
Look at the French streets and see what a few general strikes can do for the people. Now slap yourself in the face for simply ignoring all those folks who couldn't care less and dare to occupy when they have to.

Your post on the other hand is simply pathetic. Whatever, go for it! Lable your fellow Muricans duped Nazi supporter, embrace the outright denial of this crooked oligarchy you call a democracy with it's Total Wars on Everything! Too big to fail, eh?

Übermensch is not the person giving you a ride with that Uber app, just saying...

I did not say he was Hitler.

Ummm... yeah you kind of did. You remember the whole paragraph you wrote describing Hitler trying to make him seem like Trump???

Who is Adolf Hitler? The man from the people, for the people! The German front soldier who risked his life in 48 battles for Germany! What does Adolf Hitler want? Freedom and food for every decent working German! The gallows for profiteers, black marketeers and exploiters, regardless of religious faith or race! Why is Adolf Hitler not allowed to speak? Because he is ruthless in uncovering the rulers of the German economy, the international bank Jews and their lackeys, the Democrats, Marxists, Jesuits, and Free Masons! Because he wants to free the workers from the domination of big money! Working Germans! Demand the lifting of the illegal ban on his speaking!

Soo your queen lost... get over it. Trump didn't play us he played you and all the other Hillary supporters. Yall actually thought yall had a chance HaHaHa...

Now every person that voted for Trump is a victim whose been called "a racist, bigot, mysognist, Islamaphobe" perhaps millions of times each. Also, Clinton once referred to them as "deplorables" and so, anything you say is invalidated because Donald Trump won the election and they're automatically right.

Also, because there are people protesting, they're sick of "liberals" and it's your fault too unless you keep your mouth shut and you're a Soros funded agitator who probably works for CNN.

Enjoy living on borrowed time because your time is coming! You and the evil lying media! When Trump comes to power, you're all going to pay!

There's a lot of extremely authoritarian rhetoric coming from people who are so upset by the mere insuation that Dear Leader-elect is anything but holy that they have to issue veiled threats and watch YouTube videos.

I'm trying to avoid these threads but the bully squad that is flash trolling threads — filled with self-righteous indignation and wrongly believing that Donald Trump winning means non-supporters have to submit to their retaliation based on their undeserved anger — is out of control.

It is indeed. I wonder just how many of the Trump swastikas showing up all over the United States are being drawn by members of ATS. I suspect more than one. In my community, neighborhoods known to be Jewish are being festooned in swastikas and anti-semitic, pro-Trump rhetoric. It's terrifying, a bit nauseating, and honestly somewhat predictable.

Fortunately, the people who do this sort of thing talk a big game about being the gunowners about town, but are typically half-witted cowards who scatter at the first appearance of light.

And Godwin's law is alive and well I see.

Godwin's Law is that, roughly put, over time the odds of a comparison to Hitler approach one in any given Internet discussion. It's a reference to things getting more heated and people eventually invoking something that everyone is supposed to find revolting. What it is not is some sort of law of nature that means all such comparisons are invalid.

In the case of the hoard of pro-Trump people spray-painting swastikas next to their "Go Trump" scribbles, they are making the comparison themselves.
