Seeing as Soros appears to be an android to some degree, i'm not sure waiting for his natural end will occur at the same rate as most human beings would experience. But we can certainly hope for it!

Those people are NOT involved in the sorts of activities people accuse OSF of engaging in. However, I recognize that there may be a wing of that org that possibly does.

But this guy, said he was quitting international development to become a nurse in like Alabama. A guy going from working as a senior advisor in OSF, after having worked with Kofi Annan, to quitting to be a nurse. It wasn't until this moment that I connected the idea that he may have seen something he didn't want to be a part of. However, I'm still agnostic about all of this.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, it is a bit strange. At the time he just said it was his "new passion." But I don't know. One reason I have been taking a break myself from international affairs and work with such orgs is that I have some concerns about how some of them are working with intelligence agencies for forms of imperialism. Going back to the Vietnam War some "NGOs" like World Vision were helping the CIA. I think that this continued through the conflicts in Latin America. Peace Corps itself was said to be infiltrated by the CIA. The CIA told congress in the 70's that they no longer used the Peace Corps as a front. Our government's development agency, USAID, has also been found to have questionable international destabilization or intelligence activities over time.

At the same time, I think that people are making a mistake in thinking that this is a "Soros" thing. As I briefly outlined above, a lot of this has been going on since WWII, if not way before. It goes far beyond Soros. In Latin America the US was doing these covert ops and destabilization routines way before Soros came around.

This isn't to say that most people involved in international development know about or believe in such actions. Most are serious professionals who have expertise in a certain area, such as economics, education, or public health, and work on related issues/programs abroad.

To be honest, I got burned out a bit for some of the same reasons that are suspect with Open Society Foundations. I also am a father and it's difficult to keep up moving around to different countries.

Have you actually dealt with any of the organizations you are talking about? Where do you get your knowledge of their activities? We have just seen you tell someone who has firsthand knowledge of them that you know things about them they don't know.
