I belive this is an age old question. Science tells us that one day we will be able to live forever. I mean we can now clone humans and animals and
organs. You can even deep freeze yourself to wake up when they find a cure for your illness. But if you really think about it, what would you do
with eternity? I mean don't you think you would get bord at some point and just say "let it all end". I think dying is a part of life and if I
had to live forever I would have no idea what to do with myself. I know we have the technology to live longer and even better, but do people really
know what they are asking for to live forever. I mean could you imagine watching all the people you love die and then having to live without them for
the rest of your life. No thanks man not for me. Just wonder what others would do with eternity.

No, I would not.
To live forever would be to deny myself that one last answer.
What happens when you die?

ditto...
Me neither...I want to experience every single facet of life, including the end of it...and what lies beyond.
That, and about half the time this place sucks!

I would like to live forever
If i were to live forever...I would explore anything that has to do metaphysics and find a way to mentally leave my body whenever i please...(OBE =
Out of Body Experience) without fear....
By Living forever, you gain experience on certain things...

It'd be interesting to stay young for longer, maybe enjoy it rather than spending it all in school, whatever. Even if you could end your life when it
got bad, I'd rather not have to worry about eventually killing myself. And of course, the world will end some day. What would you do? Float through
space, dying due to lack of air but never dying? Then you'd smack into a planet or a star, get stuck there until it explodes, then you go flying
again. Let's all just die naturally- keep the pressure on to make something of your life, too.

I don't think I'd get bored - and why would friends and family have to die around me? Couldn't they get to live forever too? ...Not that I don't
want to experience dying - I do, eventually - but I have a lot to do - could keep me busy for millenia...

I would not mind living an extra 100 or 200 years. I would want to stay young though and I would also want alot of Modifications as well. I wouldn't
mind having eyesight like Geordi from Star Trek, but with the ability to see normally too. I would also want a "brain jack" so I can interface with
my computer more seamlessly. Some Genetic Mods to give me cat-like agility and bear-like strength would be nice. Man living hundreds of years brings
up alot of other possibilities. Also my whole family would not die around me, because some of them may choose to go this path as well. I might be sad
if some of them decided to remain "mortal" but I would get over it in a couple of decades, I would still try to remember them but just imagine what
you could do and see in that amount of time. I'm sold, where do I sign up?

I agree as well - but I'm willing to take my time getting there! To live for a couple thousand more years - when we've achieved space travel,
artificial intelligence, and TV dinners that are ready in 2 seconds flat! Sign me up! The universe is incomprehensively huge - I'm sure it would take
millions of years for me to get bored.

Assuming there is an end of existence as we know it, Then I wouldn't mind to do so, as long I remained youthful, it would redefine the phrase "Youth
is wasted on the young...". But really, I am sure that unless interspace travel was invented that I would probably go insane, or become a
philosopher.

Of course I would, if you never age, like stay at 25 I would love to live forever, seeing people die and denying that one question is a little price
to pay for it.
seeing all the technological advancements and everything it would be great,
of course even better is if you can travel in time and view whatever you want faster.

As long as my physical body stayed young I'd love it,
I really wouldnt care about the people around me dying, It's like the saying
"Its better to love and lose, than never loving at all.
Of course as time went on I'd have genetic modifications and get rid of my emotions, I consider emotions to be a neucance.

I'm not sure if I would want to live forever. There have been times in my life when I did not want to live even one more second.
But; as I have gotten older, things seem to come more easily for me. It is easier to go to work these days. I am able to make more money because of
experience and education, all of which take time. Nothing replaces experience. I think that many would (hopefully) become masters at thier
professions. I think we would advance faster as a civilization because we would be able to keep expanding our knowledge instead of taking it with us
in death.
I would think that maybe the privledge of living forever would need to be earned. Based on contributing to society in some positive way, or else, you
don't get to live forever.
The longer you live and work the more money you will make maybe even becoming rich.
The longer you live the more relationships you would have and more relatives that would result from those relationships.
The longer you live the more friends you would make...and the more enemies?
Here's a thought: I would not want to be able to bear children for the entire enternity, though. Just thought I would throw that in there.
Good topic!

Live forever? I'm assuming i'm living under 'working' conditions, like say 21-25 yrs old : P
If I could live forever along with the rest of my comrades
If I couldn't
To see the world go through all different types of technological/cultural changes would be pretty cool though.

No...no desire to live forever. I would like to live to be very old, but not forever....I'd miss the wonders of the afterlife for one....

As morbid as it may sound, in a way I actually look forwards to death. AL77ZZZ, you had mentioned reading my other thread I linked to, I think that
has to be a pretty unique experience and as somewhat of a pyschonautic enthusiast, the neurochemistry behind the death experience is fascinating to
me. I say don't fear the inevitable, embrace the experience. Or in the words of someone who has been there,
"Break on through to the other side..."

Like most of you I would not mind living longer, not forever though. I would spend the extra years doing what I did not get to in my younger years. I
would travel the world, learn alot more and spend my life thanking God for all he has given me in the past, present, and future. And at some point
look very forward to death and the path after death. Following heavens highways.

I would love to live forever(or at least until the universe ends) I would love to see humanites technological advancements and world piece(if that
ever happens). I want to travel to other galaxies and see different planets and I always wondered what being on a planet with a different color sun is
like. Maybe meet some aliens. I would be sad when relatives and friends die, but I could always get new friends. Hey maybe I could be the first man on
an another planet. Itd be no risk since I wouldnt die.
