Isn't it a bit hypocritical?

The birth of The U.S. was based on anti-British protest, civil disobedience and revolt.
Those anti-Trump protesters are only doing what your forefathers did. They have a political disconnect.

So why all the moaning ?

Can't you just admit that those protests are way over the line? Is it so hard to accept defeat?
The United States is a democracy, the people voted and you in this case lost.

So why all the moaning? You'd be crapping all over Trump supporters if the situation would be reversed.

Only a useful tool could draw comparisons between 2016 elections and the Boston Tea Party.

The Boston Tea Party wasn't a bunch petulant spoiled brat triggered 20 somethings were they?

Didn't think so, sorry bout your luck but your OP is spot on for triggered snowflakes.

The main thing these protests are telling me is that we dodged a bullet.

These people are showing that many of those who supported Hillary are truly hateful, intolerant, spoiled brats who understand nothing about how this country should work or the principals upon which it was founded.
I know... it's not nice to generalize about all supporters, but these people are representing Hillary in a very vocal way.
And they are representing the worst kind of behavior.
They are showing the direction that our society was heading in the environment that existed, created by the educational system and the division encouraged from the very top down.
The "snowflake" epidemic is obviously a very real thing, and it's totally not cool.

We have a chance now to change this. We have a new start.

Sure, protests are fine if you have just cause.
But for years now, a certain side of society has been demonstrating that they believe they can force their beliefs on others through violence and threats.
And then they turn it around and accuse the other side of intolerance, bigotry, etc.

They need to grow up, stop throwing temper tantrums, and learn that violence is not the way to change people's minds.
It just totally turns people off and away.
It will NEVER get people to come over to your side.

Watching MSNBC right now. They are instigating rioting and rebellion.

Instigating rioting or rebellion? Was this country not based on a rebellion?

Some of you seem so lost sometimes.

Yes it was, but, it was founded on individual rights, rule of law, a democratic process that safeguarded the right's of this entire nation. Not necessarily the beliefs of certain areas of the nation but ALL of this nation hence the purpose of the electoral college. Overall the majority, geographically, voted red. Only along the populated coastlines is where blue dominated. Correct me if I am wrong here. Did we see anything even remotely similar to this after the last 2 presidential elections? No! I assert that conservatives are exceedingly more rational than the liberal masses and these masses are just like my mother that is emotionally reactionary to the N'th degree with no actual rationality remotely embedded into her personality. A complete emotional reactionary. I see what is happening as the same as my mother.

Well, it's all irrelevant for me at this point in my life. Trump's election will only delay the destruction of our democratic republic. We have been evolving into a socialist Marxist society for 30 years now and there is no turning back the tide. The Republic is dead. Long live, whatever......

You note the POPULATED areas. That is telling.

Again, this country started with a rebellion. A very bloody one. This is just people protesting in the street. Yet, you find it wrong. People forget what country they live in.

Can you show me just one example of a Hillary protest by Trump supporters? En masse that is. Not one guy with a bullhorn.

If it were simply protests, then yes it would be. There is literal rioting in the streets my friend. Over a system that is set in place.

People should NOT be protesting Trumps presidency, they should be protesting the DNC establishment. If Bernie was your candidate, Trump wouldn't be president. That is YOUR team's fault. THAT is where your anger should be focused. YOUR team put up the one person capable of losing to Trump, and your team rigged it the whole way.

You only have yourself to blame. Stop burning cities over it.

The birth of the USA was based on inability to vote and lack of representation.

Assuming those rioters are 18 or older, they were able to vote for the electorate, representatives, and possibly senators.

These rioters are not doing what our forefathers did. There is no disconnect.

They are petulant man-children screaming at an outcome that makes them unhappy.
edit on 11-11-2016 by Teikiatsu because: changerd protester to rioter. They are neither assembling peacefully nor are they airing greivances

Nothing wrong with protest but these are a bunch of spotty faced teenage basement dwelling delusionals hell bent on violence.

All funded by the sloth like creature that is Soros.

You know how all those Trump voters complain about being called mysoginist, racist, and homophobic when they're not mysoginist, racist, and homophobic?

... yeah.

Yes, because we are not mysoginist, racist, and homophobic.

Not one guy with a bullhorn.

'
Not one guy with a bull horn? That guy was a Trump campaign mouth piece, a Sheriff, a lead supporter and speaker that accompanied Trump along the campaign. He made numerous talk show appearances. Like Trump he repeated the "It's a rigged election" rhetoric and encouraged armed Trump supporters to uprise with "Pitchforks and Torches" should Trump lose. I'm not even going to get into Trump's hateful rhetoric!

You can't tell the whole nation that the election is rigged and encourage uprising and then think that people across the aisle won't believe it must be rigged against them, that their voice was silenced and that they won't be encouraged by the same rhetoric meant for their opponent's supporters. Double standard much?

It's hard to debate a hypothetical like that, but I can tell you I would not have. I have to go to work in the morning and have real life responsibilities.

There might have been a resurgence of tea-party-like rallies and daytime protest, but nothing like this:

I don't believe that for one minute. We would see exactly the same kind of idiots doing the same thing, only the uprising would be supported by Trump and led by Sheriff Clarke!
