His message is a big F U to the system which has done nothing for people like you and me except lie ,cheat, and make the rich richer. Apparently it hasn't done much for middle-class whitey either.

Not everything is about racism when white people are involved.

However labeling whitey as the villian is surely not going to help bring us togther.

Having said that I don't trust trump and can't stop seeing him as a conman, but I can't see him making the recent racial tensions any worse than the democrats and obama.

I never said white folks in general are villains , I am looking at the possible repercussions of Trump presidency and yes whites will suffer especially if he breaks the economy , I am looking at jack booted thugs that will jack the average black or Latino on the street because they felt even more empowered to do so, we have at least one commentator who think that's a good thing.

And yes I want a system change, Hillary wasn't it...not feeling Trump man, and I hope to the Goddess I am wrong and he is the hail Mary we have been looking for all along but his speeches and the company he keeps give me no confidence.

MOOREHOUSE! He needs to drag his ass to Chi-town and repeat that dribble), the last thing I wanted to see was Hilary.

Good for the Democrats, you reap what you sow. The Republicans did the exact same ---- thing with Ron Paul and they got their butts handed to them on a platter. They railroaded Bernie and not only did they lose but they lost both the House and Senate. Not to mention vacancies in the Supreme Court. Oh my.

Democrats just need to sit tight and wait till those good ol mid term elections. Then the populace will do what they normally do and come flocking back like a pack of lemmings.

I voted Jill not because I thought she had a snowballs chance of winning but I wanted the Greens to have that 5% so we can build from there, plus NY was in the bag for her so my vote didn't matter there as much.

Gary Johnson was on the ballot but not Jill, who I wanted to vote for originally. Not seeing her name told me that she wasn't going to even come close to winning, heck, I doubt if she would even get her 5%.

My choices were good, worse, and worst. I choose worse, I knew good wasn't coming.

Oh man, you should see it state side. Folks are climbing out the wood works, coming up with all manner of excuses and reasons as to why Hilary lost and damn near everyone wants to hold up the "pissed white guy" vote as the main reason. Pft, they have been and still are the majority.

I'm not broad stroking folks here but those talking heads can't fathom what has just occurred and that's exactly why Hilary lost and that highlights the problems. They ain't in these streets. They've been in bed with their own constituents for so long that they have lost any kind of connection with "Joe the Plumber".

OP, what are you doing man? Everyone (everyone on ATS) knows that white people in America aren't racist. Only minorities can be racist. Don't forget where you're posting son. Why do you think so many where quick to call you racist?

I don't think the issue is "what will the president do" - In the US, the President is not a King, he does not have unlimited power.
The President elect is an icon.
He is a symbol of the values and morals and goals of the majority. So yeah, it is his behavior, his rhetoric, that matters for that role.

This is the representative you hold up for others (other nations) to project an impression of the American ideals and values- of what we hope for and want and value.

His job is to inspire and motivate YOU, the american, to make effort towards those goals and to live those values.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times a day we see that quote from Kennedy about doing for your country, people STILL keep asking what will the president DO for ME. Trumps job is to inspire you with his behavior and words. You've chosen his ethics and values as representative of your own. So now his job is to push you to live them and make the sorts of changes in your community and society that reflect them.

Personally, I don't agree with his values, and I am saddened that these are the new american ideals. But the people have spoken.... and the rest of the world has heard.
