Is funny now that the Obamacare is going to be repealed, you can hear the states bringing out the failure that it has become

Finally the truth of that failure will be espoused, I can not wait to hear more.

umm... ya....
medicaid leaves alot of people out.... and it doesn't matter how poor you are, I know this, I lived this...
medicaid, like so many other gov't programs sets out to only help those who they feel is deserving of their help.
be a widow with grown children.... well, you could be not earning any money at all and your up a danged creek without a paddle...

as far as getting rid of obamacare, or replacing it with something else...
well... they need to replace the healthcare system with something else! taking out all the middle men would be a good start... insurance, and gov't. but, they better have an emergency backup plan in place for when they pull the plug, because our healthcare system had kind of become way too dependent on those middle men and the ponzi schemes they have come up with to enable enough people to obtain the healthcare, while the providers still make a profit.

In order to make up for the losses due to non payment, your insurance premiums skyrocket.

Not sure of your experience but after Obamacare went to effect my insurance premiums sky rocketed by hundreds of dollar a Month and my deductible went up,

Also other family members that had no insurance continued with no insurance.

However the top 3 health insurance companies who helped create Obamacare had 45 degree profit earning increase after decades of stagnate growth.

Obamacare is a corporate cash cow for the big dogs.

Obamacare is not healthcare it's authoritarian forced insurance. I would have prefered a socialist healthcare without the greedy corporate insurance companies in the middle, rather than that bs.

You forgot the extortion part. People that don't have insurance are forced to pay a fee every year that goes up each year you dont have it. Plus you're forced to pay for anyone else in the household who doesn't have it.
It's absurd for people not to have free healthcare, especially with many good examples of european countries.
Some people think healthcare shouldn't be free until they or a loved one get seriously sick, then they sell the house.
Our whole healthcare system was a terrible idea.

If they actually repeal the ACA with no immediate replacement then the GOP can kiss the House and Senate goodbye in 2018 and probably the White House in 2020. That would be 20+ million pissed off voters that suddenly lost their insurance. Who do you think they're going to blame?

If the GOP want to repeal the ACA as their first order of business then they're dumber than I thought. If they want to repeal and replace the ACA as their first order of business then I guess Congress and Trump aren't going to be getting much done over the next few years.

LOL

You actually believe they will just stop the whole thing cold?

Of course they're going to ease-in the changes.

You realize there's still 30 million people with no insurance policies right?

Obama has done zero for that problem.

I laugh when the media talks about the 20 millions with mandated insurance that would be left in the air if the Obamacare is shut down, but they forgot the more millions that still can not get insurance even with the health care law.

Why? very simple Obamacare was not to worry about the uncovered poor, but to force the working tax payer class into mandatory gouging by the insurance companies.

The bailout that they could not get when the bankers got theirs.

The republicans, and Trump in particular, will not say if they will also repeal the laws of pre-exsisting conditions. He will let people die. Do you have any idea what it is like to have a serious illness, and not be able to get insurance? To not be able to see a doctor? Cut off from medical care because you are already sick. That does not even make sense. I work my ass off, pay my taxes, no insurance from my job, I work for a very small firm. I got sick. I was dying. I literally would have died until the law was passed to allow me access to insurance. So I have been able to stabilize, maintain my job, home, car, food, ect. Disability is not an option, I will either go from working to dead, or continue treatment and keep paying my own way. I am not asking for a freebie, I am asking for the right to purchase insurance, and at this point it looks like he is going to overturn the decision to allow me access. Withou my medications, I will not live more than a month or 2. How is that fair in any way? How could he support that decision? He still has no real answers.

I acknowledge Obamacare is faulty but that’s the fault of the GOP primarily...

Don't jump the bridge before is finish, Obamacare needs fixing, repealing the act doesn't mean that people will be left out. It means that many of the unfair clauses will be review and repealed, it will take time and it will be replaced.

The mandate have to go, the pre existing needs to stay and to tell you the truth it should have been there since the insurance companies took over the healthcare business years ago..

The gouging needs to stop and the taxes on people that always had insurance even before the mandate in unfair.

Is funny we here in ATS dissected the darn Obamacare when it was been drafted and then voted on it, People in America forgot that it was lobbyist from insurance companies that help draft the bill invited by the Democrats parts of it were done in closed doors, that's when we got stuck with the mandate and was added to the bill all thanks to insurance companies lobbyist

From the 20 or so millions that they claim now have insurance they forgot to deduct the people that already had insurance before the bill, they don't want to talk about the so many millions that the Obamacare didn't help at all, specially the very poor that were the most in need of insurance.

After the adding and subtractions of those under the Obamacare, the majority that now are stuck with it and been gouged by it, is the same people that always had insurance and were happy with what they had.

Sad.

Bills like the ACA never work correctly the first time. How many times has medicare needed to be adjusted? Plenty of times.

One of the problems is that the GOP fought the implementation tooth and nail (some states refusing to extend medicaid coverage) and never expressed any willingness whatsoever to fix the things that were broken. They only wanted to repeal it.

So, both the GOP and the Dems hold some responsibility for the problems we have right now.

No, the main groups at fault is the insurance companies that have lobbied so much money to both parties to be able to gouge the tax payer on mandated insurance.

And your just wrong with he facts and history

The dems weren’t united themselves. Understand there are corporate democrats as well as republicans who are in the pay of the health insurers.

The republicans all voted against it because they are against the very concept of it. Rather than positively contributing they did everything they could to scotch the idea and vote down anything. The democrats weren’t unified on a better plan so themselves compromised and created this hybrid crap called the ACA

The original bill that Obama wanted was a far different idea than the one the greedy bastards within the democratic party want it thanks to insurance companies money.

I was all for Obama original bill.

After all it was Hillary Clinton that came out with the idea of health care reform back when she was first lady in 1993, she was ditched out because she wanted free health care for all.
