For some people in California

is the operative term to focus upon. On any given day, at any given time one can find some people on Twitter who are using any number of emotional or outrageous hashtags. Another trending hashtag this morning is #NotMyPresident. A message to be sure, but not one that has any legal bearing or impact upon society.

well, at last-the west coast, if they're lucky can breakoff with Oregon and Washington and just float to Hawaii. Have a good trip. See ya-or maybe not.
The new west coast will be the central US-they have sweet nice folks. We all in the South anx central Us share values that the west coast doesnt with us.
This transition will make for a more homogeneous country.

I'm displeased with the result too, but these people are idiots. In any case, it's probably all bluster. I remember Texas groaning about seceding in 2008 and 2012. It didn't happen then and it won't happen now.

it would take two thirds of the states to do that, it would never happen.

it can't happen. as in not possible. there are plenty of people unhappy with the election results that would soundly reject a secession gambit.

breaking the state into 2 or 3 different states I can get behind but that's an even bigger pipe dream.

I love how you all say you don't need California. They cover 10% of the entire tax revenue for the USA. We don't need their 300 billion a year tho.
