Wow. I always thought of ATS as a liberal society rather than an American conservative one...

I wish you guys all the best and may i congratulate you on the victory of your president-elect (if you voted for him)

some feeling tells me we (as in people of middle east and specially Iranians) will not be happy with this at the end of the day.

Actually, this battle was anything BUT Liberal versus Republican by any conventional means.

This battle was instead, a David versus Goliath type scenario. The David's won this election, Goliath is on the ground.

believe me not, my country's officials seem happy with the results.
But I'm a little worried.
Could you care to explain more pls? Why is this more than a liberal Vs. Republican show off?

Why would you be worried? The only reason you should be worried is if the Iranian (I believe you said you were from Iran?) Government takes a hardline stance against the USA; I DO believe that nuclear technology should be available to anyone at ALL, for peaceful purposes and Iran is no different there, but if started creating bombs with it, then certainly I (or anyone sane) would draw the line in the sand.

To answer your second part, this was more than a Liberal versus Conservative in that: Trump is in no way representative of traditional republicans. You can see that in exactly how many republicans actually abandoned him and his campaign and refused to even support him within the GOP party. Hillary, on the other hand wasn't nearly as representative of Liberal ideals as much as she represented everything that was wrong in Government to begin with; Familial dynasty, Rich, the Status quo, the establishment. As such, this turned into a war battleground of the little working class guy, versus the big guy.

CNN reporting now that Bush Sr. just phoned Donald Trump in a call that lasted about 10 minutes.

No doubt he was asserting his influence as Grand Master of the Satanic NWO Illuminati.

I know this was directed toward another member, but from my perspective I have to say that the whole liberal (Democrat) vs. Republican show is nothing more than a facade.

As abo said above, this was about the people vs. the establishment. The Dems/Repubs are, by and large, on the side of the established order and any differences are merely for show.

What this election was about was the fact that people are FED UP with lies, deceit, cronyism, and propaganda just to name a few of the peeves which have been mauled much less petted.

Unless you followed closely and did your own research, you would have thought that Trump was satan incarnate and Hillary sat at the right hand.

I mean ALL media pushed was this narrative, even the supposedly 'conservative' Fox News dutifully reported on each and every scandal with which the dems tried to paint Trump. True, they did a bit more reporting on wikileaks than other outlets did, but they only picked up on a fraction of what can be found within the various threads that can be found here on the releases.

If any other person than Hillary had done what she can be shown to have done merely through publicly available information, they would have been in prison a long time ago rather than running for the highest office in the land.

Yesterday's election was, as Michael Moore (
) put it, was the biggest "F you" to the establishment the world has seen for quite some time.

alph may disagree or have other thoughts to add, but from where I sit, this is what I see the election as having said.

The people have spoken and said, "ENOUGH!"

Absolutely true jaded!

Now, us all being realistic and honest with ourselves, what if that same Democrat instead of being a woman, were a man? Does anyone think there still would have been weeping women on the floor of the javitz center last night because their candidate had lost? Nope. More likely they would have been pushing for prison time for their choice themselves.

christ, the BBC have even now brought in the president of Liberia to vommit all over Trump. Like , out of any person you could have interviewed they bring in the preisdent of Liberia lol, who just happens to be a Trump basher. I'm getting so sick of the BBC , they're like " how could this happen??"

Uh maybe it's the endless lies, murders, money laundering, and overall corruption and the fact that Hillary should be spending the rest of her life in prison, maybe that had something to do with it?

Right now I see a lot of the old "established" Governments of other countries either writing or calling DJT on his victory, and spouting off typical congratulatory rhetoric. Yes, of course it's expected and likely the "proper" thing to do.

What worries me about it, though, is that Trump may find himself falling into the trappings that Obama found himself in. Especially in beind forced to deal with these established Governments who likely wont see things the same way he envisions them.

At the beginning, Obama's message resonated much in the same way that Trump's is now...."People need a voice! People are tired of the same ole! People are tired of bloated Government and Governmental spending!". Think about it, all of that was what Obama represented and quickly found himself in a position whereby he simply couldn't affect the changes that he wanted to because of brick walls everywhere he turned.

I'm not excusing Obama nor am I partisan by any means in that I refuse to embrace either party fully.,..in fact I almost find it anti-American to be completely partisan, why not just have a Monarchy in that case and be done with it?...But I cant help feeling that apprehensiveness even as the "Establishment" fell last night / early this morning.

thank you both for your replies. I guess i was also fooled successfully by the MSM. You are right when you said everyone was against him as i saw it with my own eyes what they did to him in mainstream media. They wanted to rip him apart.
So for that part, this was indeed a move against the establishment and i commend your nation for that.

Alphabetaone asked why i am worried that trump is the new president-elect of one of the most powerful countries on earth : the reason is not what MSM tells me, because believe me i know what they are capable of.....
What worries me is his comments about Muslims and Iran in particular but that's a story for another time and I really don't want to derail the topic.

Once again, i wish you guys all the best. Congrats

Wow! Clinton's speech surprised me. I thought she may look obviously pissed off, I thought Bill may have a black eye, etc. But instead, she sounded professional and (while I don't believe it) like she actually cares about the country. She said everything she needed to say and did so with the right attitude and some class.

What really brought a tear to my eye was portions of the audience. That tear formed while laughing uncontrollably at the people actually crying that this corrupt, criminal, cold-hearted beast actually lost.

GO TRUMP!

If Hillary Clinton had appeared to the American public the last year the way she just did in her concession speech....

We would be looking at a different president elect.... shame it took her a year to show that she is actually human.

Red States all over Trump wins by landslide despite media lies and coercion. America has spoken. Were tired of the media tired of politicians tired of their lies and tired of the way America is sliding down hill into the abyss. Hope he does a good job. Go Trump.
