Wow. I always thought of ATS as a liberal society rather than an American conservative one...
I wish you guys all the best and may i congratulate you on the victory of your president-elect (if you voted for him)
some feeling tells me we (as in people of middle east and specially Iranians) will not be happy with this at the end of the day.
believe me not, my country's officials seem happy with the results.

Actually, this battle was anything BUT Liberal versus Republican by any conventional means.
This battle was instead, a David versus Goliath type scenario. The David's won this election, Goliath is on the ground.

But I'm a little worried.
Could you care to explain more pls? Why is this more than a liberal Vs. Republican show off?

If any other person than Hillary had done what she can be shown to have done merely through publicly available information, they would have been in prison a long time ago rather than running for the highest office in the land.
thank you both for your replies. I guess i was also fooled successfully by the MSM. You are right when you said everyone was against him as i saw it with my own eyes what they did to him in mainstream media. They wanted to rip him apart.

I know this was directed toward another member, but from my perspective I have to say that the whole liberal (Democrat) vs. Republican show is nothing more than a facade.
As abo said above, this was about the people vs. the establishment. The Dems/Repubs are, by and large, on the side of the established order and any differences are merely for show.
What this election was about was the fact that people are FED UP with lies, deceit, cronyism, and propaganda just to name a few of the peeves which have been mauled much less petted.
Unless you followed closely and did your own research, you would have thought that Trump was satan incarnate and Hillary sat at the right hand.
I mean ALL media pushed was this narrative, even the supposedly 'conservative' Fox News dutifully reported on each and every scandal with which the dems tried to paint Trump. True, they did a bit more reporting on wikileaks than other outlets did, but they only picked up on a fraction of what can be found within the various threads that can be found here on the releases.

Yesterday's election was, as Michael Moore ( ) put it, was the biggest "F you" to the establishment the world has seen for quite some time.
alph may disagree or have other thoughts to add, but from where I sit, this is what I see the election as having said.
The people have spoken and said, "ENOUGH!"
