Of course they do... which is why it's disgusting and yes -- !!! -- weird (to say the least) that someone would leave their snot rag there!

Just for the record, handkerchiefs are not always used for blowing one's nose. I've always thought that particular use was rather gross in general.

Well if something tangible doesn't comes out on this in the next 4 hours and Hillary gets in then this crime is going to be locked up like Area 51 for 50 years.

Yes you butchered my reply, maybe it's reading comprehension and you didn't realize you did it because you skimmed it or something.

This is what you quoted of mine

Hi John, The realtor found a handkerchief (I think it has a map that seems pizza-related. Is it yours? They can send it if you want. I know you’re busy, so feel free not to respond if it’s not yours or you don’t want it.

That does not sound weird in the slightest.

When in fact I said THAT DOES SOUND WEIRD. So yes you butchered my reply. I said the next part does not sound weird. This part:

Susan & Herb I just came from checking the Field house and I have a square cloth handkerchief (white w/ black) that was left on the kitchen island. Happy to send it via the mail if you let me know where I should send it. I also meant to inquire yesterday about the pillows you purchased. I can send them as well, if you let me know where they are in the house. Safe travels to all Kate

Once you realize that the Susan was emailing John, after having been contacted by Kate, it begins to sound a little less weird, because she's likely not working with full information.

And as Greggers said, you are assuming a handkerchief is only used as a snot rag. It's more likely to be used for a napkin nowadays.

agree.
And just a side comment here.
I feel silly saying this, but my husband of 25 years has used cloth hankies (as well as tissue) all his life. At work, he finds it simpler to use a cloth. In all those years, I have NEVER washed his hankies. He does all that, including the disinfecting, himself. And, to the best of my knowledge, he has NEVER left a hanky anywhere. It is in his pants pocket, or in a special place in his wash hamper. Finally, people who use hankies buy a lot of them, cheaply. They are discarded when they are less than pristine because they get gross fast.
Meaning, I guess, that someone who has used hankies for over 50 years knows the etiquette.
Leaving one is very odd. Describing it is very odd (I mean, how many hankies were laying on that counter?).

and...a pizza related MAP on a handkerchief? Think about that! What a simple way to have a map of places where one can find what they want.

No. As expressly acknowledged and apologized for, I misquoted your reply. To assign negative motives (specifically, "butchered" with all its negative connotaions as opposed to the neutral term "misquoted) on my behalf as fact is nothing more or less than opinion, because only I know what is in my heart and mind. Hmmm... maybe it's just reading comprehension and you didn't realize you did it because you skimmed it or something.

Again, your opinion. It still seems darn weird to me. Maybe it's a lack of information... maybe it's something else.

Um... no. I am not assuming that this "handkerchief" is a snot rage. I am suspicious that "handkerchief" is code speak for something far more nefarious... downright evil in fact. Isn't that the whole point we're arguing????

Nor am I assuming that a handkerchief is a snot rag. It is a snot rag by definition. And I have no reason -- nor evidence -- to believe it was used for anything more or less. Rather, you are the one assuming that it is not being used as a snot rag.

And now, since you refuse to stick with the known facts, continue to state opinions as fact, repeatedly twisted misrepresented my words, and have been personally offensive... I'm now done with you too.

If you're sick enough to think this is prank material, that's pretty sick....

Clearly you've never been to 4Chan.

No, I haven't, lol. And just clicked on the reddit link someone posted above me and wish I hadn't been there, either.
And I used to be the one who advised against clicking links just cause someone supplies them.....

That's not silly at all. In fact, it's pretty much what I remember about my dad using hankies. My mom ordered them in quantities from Sears and/or Monkey Wards right along with our school clothes -- maybe more often and I just didn't know it.

Meaning, I guess, that someone who has used hankies for over 50 years knows the etiquette.

Yes. I have considered that perhaps we're speaking of regional differences in terminology, and perhaps she meant "bandana," but that gives me no comfort either... bandanas are usually worn on the head/hair and get sweaty and oily and grimy. I wouldn't be any happier with that on my kitchen island! (not that I have one... but if I did!!!) But I do not accept the suggestion of another poster that she meant "napkin." For one thing, it's too thin. For another, no one would use a used handkerchief as a napkin. And no one would buy handkerchiefs to use as a napkin.

and...a pizza related MAP on a handkerchief? Think about that! What a simple way to have a map of places where one can find what they want.

Exactly. Maybe back in the day you could find someone using a hanky -- though more likely a paper napkin -- to draw a map to some great pizza joint they heard about... but with today's technology? Not likely. And as has been mentioned, these were "rich" folks who would be most likely to have that technology at their fingertips.

I am keeping in mind that this is possible evidence, not hard proof, but it needs to be thoroughly investigated with full transparency, and then let the chips fall where they may. I'm quite prepared to believe the worst about these folks if given appropriate proof; but for the sake of the potential victims, I really don't want to believe it. The biggest problem is that our "authorities" have so violated the public trust that we cannot be sure that thorough investigation will even happen.

Yeah, but your statement regarding the "grossness" of the handkerchief being left in the kitchen was based upon it being used as a snot rag.

The most common use for a hanky these days is as a decorative bit of silk in the pocket of a suit coat.

Clearly, one could also use it as convenient place to map all the restaurants you'd like to visit while you're on a trip. I wouldn't use one that way (heck, I wouldn't use one AT ALL for any purpose), but I'm yet to find any other plausible explanation for what "map" refers to, if it's not an actual map.

Or... maybe it's your willingness to speculate about the motivations of those you're arguing with.

Unless you're referring to your own lack of information.... or "something else."

Which conspiracy. Based on what she told the FBI, and what they found, she lied to Congress and destroyed evidence. IT's not a conspiracy. Read page 9 of the 2nd FBI report. I mean, it's only like 50 pages, so you probably read it already huh? A conspiracy would be more like, "Yeah, they're my emails... but... um... RUSSIA stole them!!! Yeah, that's it! It was the Russians!"

Now that really is a bizarre coincidence. If indeed it is a coincidence. And if it's not, then either 4chan have taken their lead from a TV ad, or...

... no, I'm not going down that road.

It doesn't seem anybody has translated yet. Allow me.

"Hi John, The realtor found a S&M (I think it has a semen that seems girl-related."

Makes less sense that way than it does in its original context. Give it up.

This summarizes it well..I don't agree with everything..but some of this **** is the most terrifying stuff I have found online..ever. The art, moments of the Majestic Ape video..some of the instagram photos..
There's a commercial for comet pizza online...with a very bizarre comment at the end, too.
Research everything on all individuals..read all the comments, click on all links..dig deeper and come to your own conclusions.
Keep fighting. This needs to get out.

You're not trying very hard, then.

It all just looks like bad modern art and 'edgy' restaurant gimmicks to me.

Pffft.
