Been going crazy trying to recall name of old horror flick I saw as a kid, scared the hell out of me when I was 8.

Remember very little, lol, so try not giving me too much grief, hopefully you can help.

Here it goes.....

Basically, cabin in remote swampy area, guy/girl in rowboat seeing a woman floating just under the water face up following them.

Scenes of dead woman covered in seaweed slowly walking up out of the water in beach area, more than one, really creepy ghost or zombies.

So, thats it! lol, I think if you saw this movie you would remember those scenes, gotta be at least 40 or 50 year old movie, good luck and thanks, would love to watch it again!

This Wiki Creature Features page has a listing of movie titles at the bottom of the page load with some dated from the 1930s, most later. Maybe it will help jog your memory.

House on Haunted Hill was the movie that skeered me as a child. Chiller Theater episodes were the best bedtime stories.

I've been searching since posting this thread, hoping someone remembers. Should be pre 1973 but definitely not a short film, thank you though!

Wish i could remember more, think the scenes are pretty memorable if someone passes by this quest of mine hopefully!

It sounds like one of those B horror films from the 1950s, the kind you'd see on late night broadcast television. A low budget production with poor acting but a catchy plot that actually would be scary if better produced. Probably made for the drive in to scare your girlfriend into your arms for a make out session.

Zombie movies started out in the 1930s and black and white movies ended by the 1970s, so a search would be from the 30s through the 60s I would think. If filmed in a swamp I would suspect Louisiana as the location.

Dementia 13 I think first mainstream film directed by Francis Ford Coppola?? Before he did only a few nudie films, low budget.
