Probably nothing but why does your title say they couldn't be in the Army but you later tell us you were in the USMC? Just seems odd. What was your MOS, out of curiosity.

I was in the Marines for 4 years then got out went to college, joined the Guard which is basically the Army (National Guard). I did make it to Captain in the Guard but Marine basic is a lot harder than Army, physically anyway. I did not have to go to basic again in the Guard after serving in the Marines. Only branch that can do that without going to basic again so I honestly don't know about Army basic.

True that. I always admired that about the Marines. If I wanted to switch to any other service from the Navy I would have to have to go through their bootcamp first. Screw that! But Marines, they can jump from one branch to the other without having to go through said branches basic training.

USN bootcamp was a joke. That hardest part was staying awake. I remember marching somewhere after going through BattleStations (which was awesome) and a recruit two rows ahead of me fell asleep while we marched and was on his way to walking into a light pole. I was so ready to see him crash when the sailor behind him pulled em back in line!

But he went to military school so that's why he can teach our generals a thing or two.

Obama: Smoked pot. That question on the form would disqualify him. No, go home.

Even if you smoked it many years ago?
I agree being cleaned up is a must but if you smoked pot 5 years ago it has zero effect on your physical or mental capacity today. Absolutely no science is behind that reasoning.

Are you serious?

That makes no sense whatsoever.
That rule needs to change, pronto!
