Okay, Bush is desperate. But I think we can prove this latest excuse is pure garbage easily enough. In September 1987, scavengers (like looters but
without dodging bullets) opened up the nuclear material capsule from a medical machine discarded in a trash bin and triggered a major disaster, with
contamination reaching more than 100 miles from the initiating point. Had there really been WMDs and had looters taken them, there is no reason to
assume they would not open the boxes and bottles to see what was in them. That's what looters do. The results would be all too apparent. Given the
potency of the WMDs, at least as Bush has claimed them to be, entire towns should be dying even now. There has been no outbreak of any weaponized
diseases. Aside from the depleted uranium the US left all over the place, no additional radioactivity has been detected. Bush's story is yet another
fiction in a long line of fictions.
