He was on a conference call last week. It's kind of hard to do much else when you're holed up in an embassy and your communication has been severed...

actually, he did more.

Assange has no problem facing his accusers in Sweden, its that strong likelihood that Sweden would hand him over to the US that is concern.

Yes, that's the myth that's propagated. Those evil, conniving Swedes. You just cannot trust that their judicial system has not been taken over by the CIA.

However, there's no evidence that Sweden would extradite Assange if asked, not least because the UK would also have to consent.

However, for as long as Assange seeks to avoid questioning on rape, in line with Swedish due process, he will have problems operating outside of the Ecuadorian embassy, and will always have these accusations hovering over him.

Wow, you really fell for the official story hook, line, sinker and rod?

I don't think it's outwith the CIA's remit to get two people to step forward and claim rape, money is a great persuasion. He has offered to sort it out so if these are serious allegations then let them come over and sort it out, if he's guilty charge him, plain and simple. The thing is they won't.

Apparently, in this 2010 NYT News Article Sweden has a wide range of laws regarding rape and sexual assault. It appears that Assange is accused that he committed nonconsentual rape by having sex without a condom!? Wasn't able to quote from the article, but check out the link above.

It is not a myth! He is one of the most wanted men in america. You really think that america would not think about getting him on route to sweden, or striking a deal with sweden uding cyber theft and not for political reasons?

He would be crazy to leave yhe embassy!

I would have to agree that it would be suicide for him to leave the embassy. He has many enemies and not just from the USA. Anyone of them could take him out and sit back, watching the world point fingers at the US. They get a two-for-one deal out of it!

It's not the fact that there is no evidence that Sweden would extradite him to the US for prosecution, it's that they won't give any assurance that they WON'T that keeps him in the Ecuadorian embassy.

In Sweden he's been cleared of all charges and the accuser admitted to lying about what Assange had done to her.

If he is dead and Wikileaks has been compromised, hushing it up and leaking more stuff that doesn't really implicate Hillary but, instead, a patsy (like Podesta) takes the heat off of her and sets up a fall guy.

That's true. Except he isn't dead. His recent interview with John Pilger in an exclusive for RT he commented upon the Connectivity cut from the Embassy recently. The Ecuadorian Government themselves did that so that Ecuador wasn't perceived as being part and parcel to US Election interference.
