I agree, there's a much better way than Obamacare. People can't afford it,
People don't want it.

This is the corner foundation of any healthy Society.
Taking away the right of any Human Being to Health Care unless they dig
up some $$$ for it, is wrong. That's obvious to most of us sane people,
and this Video lays it out on the table as is.

Okay, now I am curious: What is a better way than Obamacare? Lets look at something expensive, like.. a concussion you have to check out at a hospital?

Or should we go heavy-metal with something like chemotherapy?

How can somebody pay the hundreds of thousands of dollars the health system in the USA wants to bill for this?

All you have to do is look at how other countries health care system operates.

Canada, UK, Europe..

Americans hate Obamacare, they can't afford it, and now supposedly it's going to go up yet again? It's a disaster in slow motion and taking a huge toll on Americans who clearly can't afford that kind of money upfront on a monthly basis.

What's not to understand?

Aside from that, the US gov rakes in how much yearly from Taxes? And they can't make it easy for the People who actually fork out for these mega rich already self appointed rulers of all that is corrupt pay checks each month, and on and well you get it right.

Maybe if the Uber rich paid their fair share of taxes it wouldn't be up to the upper and middle classes to pick up the slack? Trump.......I'm looking directly at YOU.

Do you know how much we are paying for it, every month, on every paycheck?
I am now at 15,6% off my gross pay, out of which my employer pays 7,5%.
I don't give out an absolute of how much this is in EUR, because it is a lump-sum for every person in my health insurance company, regardless of the absolute amount.

Is that too much? How much (in percent) does an average US-american have to pay, how much does his employer pay?

Please be patient, I don't know very many details about the Obamacare, only "that it is too damn high". But how much is it really?

What's not to understand?

But the gov does not provide health care, that is in the liability of hospitals, right? The gov just has to collect the money because what kind of alternative to taxes would there be? Payment on a voluntary system?

If you are rich, you pay more, because you earn more.
If you are poor, you pay less, because you could never expend that much money per month.

The thing is that the health insurance does need to have enough money to pay the costs every month.
And we look at it the way of "well, good for me that I don't go to hospital this year - on the one hand, I didn't get anything for my money, on the other hand: I didn't go the the hospital because I wasn't ill."

And last but not least, even if I get the feeling that I overpay my insurance when I am young and don't have many illnesses, this system lasts till I am dead, and usually the people beyond 65 are far more in danger to become seriously ill. Be it cancer, stroke, etc.

We pay a lot, but we have a sense of security about it: even the most complicated and expensive treatment (in a hospital, for a usual treatment and not something alternative) will be paid for. And I will never go bankrupt about it. For which I am willing to pay 1/7 of my life-long wages.
