The Democratic National Committee has filed a lawsuit against the Donald Trump campaign, state Republican parties, and Roger Stone’s “Stop the Steal” group — asking the court to bar “citizen journalists” from the polls.

(the DNC's claim)
“The campaign of Donald J. Trump, Trump’s close advisor Roger J. Stone, Jr., Stone’s organization Stop the Steal Inc., the Ohio Republican Party and others are conspiring to threaten, intimidate, and thereby prevent minority voters in urban neighborhoods from voting in the 2016 election,” the lawsuit claims.

So this law suit was filed to stop something that hasn't happened yet.

Trump and Stone appear to be of like minds when it comes to deploying citizens to the polls on Election Day to watch other citizens vote. Trump regularly encourages his mostly white supporters to stand guard on Election Day at polling stations in areas where the population is largely made up of minorities and ‘watch’ the polls,” the Huffington Post wrote.

And we have the Huffington Post playing their little part in what is turning out to be quite a show. They are editorializing and using the racial wedge to keep the public separated.

We Are Change spoke to Jack Posobiec of Stop the Steal to learn more about their efforts, and the lawsuit.

“Our exit polling plan is very simple, we are going to dress in neutral, non-partisan clothing and request voters take the survey after they are finished voting. We are using the same types of questions that the AP uses regarding how someone voted, their top election issues, and asking their demographic info. The only difference is we are going to focus on one party rule precincts that have been reported to have irregularities in the past, such as in inner city Philadelphia,” Posobiec explained.

When asked to clarify whether or not they intend to campaign, or harass, voters before they enter the polls, Posobiec stated that is not their intention. “We are only talking to people after they have completed voting, and will be dressed in neutral clothing. We also requested our volunteers to not wear Red, as there is a large movement of Trump supporters to wear red on election day, and we want to remain neutral,” he explained.

Jack Posobiec, a close friend of Trumps runs an organization called Stop the steal, and it is taking care of the exit poles. The volunteers are requested to wear neutral non political clothes, and ask the same questions the AP uses. They are not to campaign or harass voters.

But DNC still filed a their law suit to keep these civilian journalists from the poles. Freedom of the press? You decide.

Nothing illegal about poll watching, or about talking to people after they vote, either! The more they scramble, the more you wonder what it is they want to hide.

I am grateful for an exit poll since the MSM will no longer do them as of the primaries. Seems exit polls weren't matching the polls by the polling companies.

The group's name, “Stop the Steal" seems to indicate that this group plans to determine who is and isn't eligible to vote, and "stop" those they think are ineligible from voting. Sure, they may also take exist surveys while they're there.

I think you might be talking about this??

it seems the trump camp have opened their mouths and implicated the republican party into something that they are court ordered not to do...
mainly because they've already pulled it and got caught in 1981.

Looks like you got the Dem/left version and I got the Repub/right version.

It's always about $ or power, always.

Once again, Trump's own words indict him, and this time, the whole Republican National Party!

Gotta love the way Rachel presents her material! She rocks!

Rachel maddow is insecure and arrogant shill. Always smirking and smug.

She seemingly has the maturity of a 12 year old in how she deliveres her message making her a put off.

Besides it seems like her big story is not actually a big deal and that shes desperate.

I read some of the first complaint that was filed in the 80's. they were actually pushing people who they thought shouldn't be voting around!
more than likely trump went his own way on this, because the party was gonna be out from under that settlement in about a year!!! now, thanks to trump, it might be a little longer.

and, there's only one instance of voter fraud that I've heard about so far....
a trump supporter got caught voting twice....
because, well, trump said so!!!

The Democrats pulled this sh** in 2012, also. Remember when Republican monitors were turned away and Black Panthers were intimidating voters.

www.washingtontimes.com...

Problems at the polls surfaced early Tuesday in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, with Republican election monitors being turned away from polling places and members of the New Black Panther Party appearing at voting sites in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania Republican officials said 75 election monitors from the party were turned away from polling places in heavily Democratic sections of Philadelphia Tuesday, but a judge has ordered them reinstated.

“It certainly raises the question, what are Democrats doing in the polls that they are working so hard to shield folks from monitoring in this election?” state Republican chairman Rob Gleason said in a statement.

Why are Democrats worried about people monitoring this election too?

The only reason to stop doing exit polls is that you already know they won't match the results. Same reason for electronic voting machines.

The only reason Casinos haven't switched to all electronic machines is because NO ONE WITH A BRAIN WOULD COME.

Exactly. The old way of voting wasn't so easily hacked, and paper leaves a trail. Electronic methods are easily hacked, and the information can be lost forever.
