If pieces of them survive to the ground in the form of meteorites, they could be worth thousands of dollars, especially if the meteorite's provenance can be linked to a known meteor fireball sighting.

However, most meteor fireballs burn up almost completely, leaving next to nothing in visible material in the form of meteorites that survive to the ground...

By the way, a quick glossary lesson:
"Meteoroid" or "Asteroid" means a piece of rocky or metallic material moving through space.
"Meteor" means a meteoroid visibly burning up in the atmosphere.
"Meteorite" means a piece that has survived to the ground.
