Pakistani forces fired mortar shells on Indian positions in Durga near Poonch town in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday violating a 13-month-old ceasefire along the Line of Control.

There were no casualties, an army spokesperson said

The Ministry of External Affairs accused the Pakistan army of violating the ceasefire agreement.

Delhi on Wednesday took up the issue with Pakistani authorities, who said they would investigate the matter.

However, Pakistan has also denied that its troops shelled Indian positions.

When the reports surfaced that Pakistan violated the ceasefire Pakistan initially "rubbished" the remarks. but when Indian counterparts provided them with the exact coordinates they said they would "investigate".

1. Who was the real culprit? was it the Pakistani forces or the terrorists?
------ The Pakis. This is because mortar shells were used of a calibre which theterrorists dont use and more importantly dont possess

2. Why?
------ Many may call it a strange coincidence because a day earlier an infiltration attempt was foiled in the area. Five infiltrators were killed in the encounter.
Were the Pakis Providing cover to the terrorists in their bid to cross the LOC?

3. Are the Pakistani forces on the ground frustrated?
------- The wall which India has built on the LOC equippes with the latest gadgets has brought down militant attacks and infiltrations radically. Are the Pakis frustrated as they cannot send terrorists across the border and casue mayhem?

4. Did this come from th high command or the ground forces launched an attack all by themselves?
