This ad has a very interesting feel to it compared to all other adverts.

Reminds me of all those inventive Ron Paul ads made by supporters in 2008 and 2012.

It's a parody.
Says this in the description.

(Since there are a lot of people who think this is real.
Let me just say.
He didn't actually endorse Trump. It's a parody...)

I don't know as it is a parody, so much as an out right lie. I think that Maconaughey might have grounds for defamation of character if he wished. Or the company that made the original commercial.

He's from Texas. No way he's voting for her. We don't like people here under an FBI investigation.

The joke is... damn really I have to explain it?

In conclusion, Matthew never endorsed Trump. Instead, he endorsed Lincoln, the car.

Mind you It was well done despite it being a fib.
If we leave the thread up we could see how many people fall for it.

Should be sobering to the creators, when your intended parody reinforces the very ideas you were attempting to undercut.

Maybe they should choose another profession.

Ah okay, well yes because there are a lot of people who don't watch TV commercials any more... for Lincoln or for anything else. Netflix, Torrents, the Internet, etc. If I hear sound on my web-page I'm not expecting, that page gets closed and that site doesn't get a re-visit. I disabled Youtube ads in protest of their political propaganda and strong tenancy of censorship.
