It's a shame that people have become so fearful that what is obviously a prank to a rational thinker scares the less rational.

All thanks to terrorists

They've finally won when we're scared of kids dressed as clowns playing pranks

If it were Muslims running at them with fake axes, then sure I could perhaps understand the fear, but kids/teens in clown masks ? give me a break.

"Kid's"????

Yeah, a rational adult is going to pack heat for trick or treating kids....geezus. Do yourself a favor, go watch a few of these "prank" videos and then tell all of us how it's being perpetrated by "kids"...has nothing to do with terrorism or being hysterically afraid as you would like to brush it. When you have the means to protect yourself, the fear level goes down, not up Einstein.

Can you POSITIVELY, 100% guarantee that every encounter is just some "guys who, um, wear clown costume and scare people..."??

No you can't.

Prank, joke, or whatever.. it's attempted assault. Period.

Yes, preach it!

Every single outfit that may scare someone on halloween is an immediate threat and attempted assault and should be banned or shot!

This seems totally rational.

Never said that and of course you're spinning it and you didn't answer my question.

I'm saying clown costume or your birthday suit, anyone charging towards you with a weapon is a threat and IT IS attempted assault.

I think the only thing any of these clowns assaulted was someone's feelings.

Then the people afraid of them must understand that they are just attempting to scare folk for a laugh no one deserves getting shot for dressing up.
I dress up a lot at least once a week can't wait for my green tights for archery practise....Mind you my legs may frighten folk enough to shoot me.

I may shoot all the people dressed up as zombies because I do not want to get bit and I may shoot all the witches too since I have an aversion to being turned into a newt.

...can't wait for my green tights for archery practice....

Me neither.

The thing is, there will be people out there wearing a clown costume, hoping to play on of the fear of clowns. They'll dress up and go out, hoping to scare someone and then when it goes bad, the anti gun folks will blame the shooter.
People doing stupid sh** that they know people are afraid of, deserve what happens.

Dressing up as a killer clown isn't even against the law, and the penalty for this imaginary offense certainly isn't death.

In the scenario described above, it WOULD be the shooter's fault, minus some act of assault committed by the clown prior to the shooting.

I'm cool with it. All of the whiny nonsense has made me highly apathetic to the whiny nonsense.

If they were wearing Trump or Clinton masks we gonna flat blast everyone we see on Halloween wearing one?

To answer your question...
I think you need to stay at home for halloween and not go to some festive halloween themed party or event, because people are constantly messing around with each other and last thing you need is some hyper-paranoid gun toting nutjob in the mix afraid of people being silly.

Now, if you are simply down a quiet road and someone runs at you with a weapon with no context, then by all means, take actions..but you didn't say that, you gave no context.

just stay home. the hyper paranoid, much like the perpetually offended, should limit their human interaction with society to just bare minimal requirements for survival tbh

The candidates have nothing to do with this, deflect much??

Let this clown crap escalate further where people are getting seriously hurt and only people that will be whining will be the criminals, their families, the ACLU, and most likely yourself.

Neither do 99.9999999% of people wearing clown masks, which was my point.

No, I think I will just laugh at the random jackasses that think shooting people because others who are dressed up on Halloween makes them all heebie-jeebie.

Mind you I thought of the perfect murder...kill someone and then dress em up in a clown costume and say you were scared.

Oh I'm sorry, my previous comments were unreadable? I didn't paint an exact scenario FOR YOU so you mocked me by assuming legal carriers want to go around shooting kids with clown masks, and now I'm the poor communicator??

Get real.

But hey, you know what's great about this country? You can choose your own level of logic and row that boat right over a waterfall if it suits your fancy.

Have at it.
