Clinton probe: 'FBI to scour 650,000 Weiner emails'

The FBI is to scour 650,000 emails on the laptop of a former congressman connected to Hillary Clinton, it has been reported.

The Wall Street Journal tweeted: "Thousands may be tied to Clinton's server."

The Journal added that "metadata" on Anthony Weiner's laptop had suggested such "ties".

Its article also said that a review lasting "weeks" would examine the emails' content, whether they were duplicates of messages already seen by the FBI, and whether they contain classified information.

Mr Weiner is the estranged husband of one of Hillary Clinton's top aides, Huma Abedin.

Oh and "anyone else would be in jail isn't accurate."

Colin Powell and many others also kept their own private server. Now anyone not a powerful politician might be in jail, but GOP or dem big wig politicians almost never go to jail.



There is no proof her server was hacked, nor that any classified material was compromised..


Even the wiki leaks were nothing illegal nor out of the ordinary for US politicians.

Pay for play and insider trading are legal for elected officials..made legal by different politicians generations ago..


The reason Clinton will not be indicted is because she hasn't done anything they all don't do..

If she wasn't running for president her server wouldn't even be a story.. if not then they would be after Powell and the others as well.

How is this even possible? Even if each email was a sentence it'd be extremely difficult to even coherently read these and keep up with the info.

What am I missing here?

I work in the legal field and have experience with large scale document reviews. What they'll do first use some e-discovery software and "dedupe" that entire batch against what they already have. This should/could "if" these are mostly the same as they already have drastically narrow down the 650K. Then they'll focus on specific e-mails and e-mail threads do some searches and work it that way. No, it won't be done in 10 days, but things like these aren't always as imposing as it sounds.

Would be the emails from multiple people..weiner, his wife and anyone else sending messages. MAYBE clintons as well since the wife is her main assistant.

Well, we have no idea how many were sent to Weiner - remember with his activities it may 600k of porn related emails for all we know.

But seriously, it has to be many different email accounts. Who know maybe weiner was collecting emails from a bunch of different people, what needs to be determined is how many of these are Clinton/Huma emails.

The election should be postponed.

FAR too much crap coming out which the public should have a right to understand and know who and what they're voting for.
