The FBI is to scour 650,000 emails on the laptop of a former congressman connected to Hillary Clinton, it has been reported.

The Wall Street Journal tweeted: "Thousands may be tied to Clinton's server."

The Journal added that "metadata" on Anthony Weiner's laptop had suggested such "ties".

Its article also said that a review lasting "weeks" would examine the emails' content, whether they were duplicates of messages already seen by the FBI, and whether they contain classified information.

Mr Weiner is the estranged husband of one of Hillary Clinton's top aides, Huma Abedin.

Unless they are the same bunch the FBI already had...

Oh and "anyone else would be in jail isn't accurate."

Colin Powell and many others also kept their own private server. Now anyone not a powerful politician might be in jail, but GOP or dem big wig politicians almost never go to jail.

There is no proof her server was hacked, nor that any classified material was compromised..

Even the wiki leaks were nothing illegal nor out of the ordinary for US politicians.

Pay for play and insider trading are legal for elected officials..made legal by different politicians generations ago..

The reason Clinton will not be indicted is because she hasn't done anything they all don't do..

If she wasn't running for president her server wouldn't even be a story.. if not then they would be after Powell and the others as well.

650k sounds very implausible.

What is that like 500 to 1000 emails a day?

How is this even possible? Even if each email was a sentence it'd be extremely difficult to even coherently read these and keep up with the info.

What am I missing here?
This doesn't make any sense.

I am very skeptical. Is this a mistake??

I work in the legal field and have experience with large scale document reviews. What they'll do first use some e-discovery software and "dedupe" that entire batch against what they already have. This should/could "if" these are mostly the same as they already have drastically narrow down the 650K. Then they'll focus on specific e-mails and e-mail threads do some searches and work it that way. No, it won't be done in 10 days, but things like these aren't always as imposing as it sounds.

Would be the emails from multiple people..weiner, his wife and anyone else sending messages. MAYBE clintons as well since the wife is her main assistant.

I can’t believe that could take weeks to do.

And the amount?

Something real strange here

Huma, if she loaded them, needs to be locked up also. Talk about a security fail.

Looks like government people do whatever they desire, despite best practice and rules.

With all the emailing going out to regular email addresses, they didn't need to hack the main host did they.

Guccifer got to the Blumenthal server didn't he.

Could have isn't anywhere near did....

Hell whoever hacked the state department?!?!

The same place hillary should have kept her data because "it's safer..."

Lol.

As far as we all know hillaries server is the only place that was not hacked!?!?

Since we have all of the Clinton camps private messages, if they were the most corrupt politicians ever, shouldn't we know it??

I mean we have all of their private messages..

Get into mine and you would know all of my dirt.

Well, we have no idea how many were sent to Weiner - remember with his activities it may 600k of porn related emails for all we know.

But seriously, it has to be many different email accounts. Who know maybe weiner was collecting emails from a bunch of different people, what needs to be determined is how many of these are Clinton/Huma emails.

The election should be postponed.

FAR too much crap coming out which the public should have a right to understand and know who and what they're voting for.

I am really sorry for you. It must be hard to face that you've been backing a corrupt, criminal sociopath all along. She's going down because of Weiner. Ironic isn't it? Maybe Huma's Saudi Arabian spy assignment is coming to light.
