Reports: Emails Had Nothing to Do With Clinton

The emails that Donald Trump has claimed will bring down Hillary Clinton are not quite the bombshell that he thinks, reports said Saturday. The revelation about new emails related to Hillary Clinton came out Friday, after FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to Congress on the matter, a move that triggered panic and sent stocks plunging. Trump quickly swept up the story and told supporters the scandal would be “bigger than Watergate.” Yet an official told the Los Angeles Times late Friday that the emails in question weren’t sent to or from Clinton, nor did they contain any new information. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Comey’s letter to Congress was more a formality than anything else. NBC’s Pete Williams later reiterated that, saying FBI sources had told him that not only were the emails not from Clinton, but they had nothing to do with her. Williams also noted that the investigation had not been “reopened,” since the probe had never been closed to begin with “as a purely technical thing.” The content of the emails has not been disclosed.

Last I heard they don't even know what's in the emails. But there were reports some were saying hte emails were just copies of emails which already existed and were known about. Maybe an investigation was opened to find out why this device wasn't known earlier. HOw'd they miss it? Or maybe another detail. None of it (yet) incriminating. And of course Trump alleges it's incriminating, but that's completely expected and easily ignored.

This scandal is entirely worse than watergate...

The scandals size is determined by the media which refuses to report anything negative about the Infallible Queen...

If the media felt the same disdain for Hillary they did for tricky dick then this scandal would be bigger than anything in political history....it would dwarf watergate and teapot dome....

From what I read, Huma Abedin had some kind of printer problem, and forwarded the emails in question to a personal computer, that she shared with her husband, Anthony Weiner, in order to "plug it in" to a printer, so that she could print out the emails for Hillary Clinton's review.

If anyone should be censored or punished for this breech, it should be Huma Abedin.

The FBI has so much admitted it released this statement to cover their asses. If something did in fact turn up, they would have been accused of trying to hide it, so they just ousted it. It's nothing, and Hillary wants it released NOW to show that's it's nothing, and I don't blame her. This is potentially damaging for her because of -people like the ones- well, everybody knows the type, plenty of them here on this site.

They've set off a huge amount of smoke, but there is probably NO fire. Now they need to man up, put up, or shut up.
