So many Shedfolks are going through so much crapola just now.

Well, this wee post is for EVERYONE who maybe needs to think about taking a wee break.
A wee break from all the worries and stress, anxiety and pain...

Please take just 5 minutes to grab a hot drink, sit back & gather your thoughts, take a deep breath and re-charge those batteries.

YOU deserve it.

Let THIS simple wee video take you AWAY

I'll meet you on the beach there in 5.

Because it's almost Christmas.
It's page 180 of Shed Twelve.
It hasn't been posted for a few pages.
Because (insert whatever reason here.)

It's "Christmas In The Shedlands!".

Gordi, that video was just breath taking! Thank you for sharing that with all of us!

Tom, thanks for re-posting the Christmas in the Shedlands vid! I can't get enough of these vids!
You guys must do a Valentine's Day one. A Shedland Valentine or something.

Gail, come out of hiding, we need to see you and your adorable little ducky!

To each and every one of you, I hope you have a day of peace and wonder. If you are out at night, take in the beauty of all the decorated houses all lit up. So very enchanting and magical.

Does it not feel strange to be celebrating Christmas, and its wintery theme, during summer?...

Honestly - I never really thought about it. I was always pretty worldly as a kid in that I understood that there was the Southern and Northern hemispheres, and that when it was Summer here it was Winter there, that different countries and cultures have different traditions.

We have Christmas cards and Christmas cartoons, tv shows, movies, and most of them are traditional wintry scenes and don't portray what we're used to here.

But.. hmmm. I don't know. We have our own little traditions too. The Christmasses I grew up with were all outdoor barbecues, yes with prawns. LOL. But I've never had a stereotypical "shrimp on the barbie". Just bought pre-cooked, peeled, devoured. Ummm, lots of water activities, dancing around under the garden sprinklers and swimming. Drinking random cocktails, eating yummy foods, mmmm trifle!!!! and yeah, hanging around outside in the sun.

I've always wanted a Snowy Winter Christmas though; it's probably just the romance of the idea, but it seems so surreal to me and in my imagination it's beautiful and how it should be.

Hm, makes sense.

Up here, well at least in Canada, if there's no snow on Christmas then it's a catastrophe. The two just can't go without the other, if there's no snow on Christmas everyone gets kind of depressed a bit.

Yes John, Gail is Bugwhisperer.
Just read your contest story entry and replied. It made me cry. Well done!

Kaelci, It seems so strange to me that people have Christmas in warm weather, like our warm States. LOL
I remember seeing foreign co-workers seeing snow for the first time. My last place of employment was surrounded by woods and it was truly a Winter wonderland. They were all standing around having pics taken of themselves to send to family back home and of course to treasure for themselves.

Colored my hair now time to wash it out. Be back soon.
