In fact, I'd proffer the idea that you don't know what I'm talking about either (like some of the earlier respondents)....or at least you didn't give the thread enough attention to understand what is happening here....

erm, no.

I'm trying to tell you how the media works and how color schemes have an effect on people. Certain shades of yellow make me think of ragweed. Others make me think of lemons. Still others bring to mind fire.

Stop trying to outwit me with this, please. I've already stated that I'm probably going to vote for her because she is going to continue to build on the progress Obama made. Because she's infinitely more qualified than Trump is, and because she got on board with a lot of what Bernie had to say.

Trump getting into the Oval Office would be an absurdity of North Korean proportions in terms of "heads of state."

Trump already doesn't have any idea what he's doing except for stirring up the angries with nonsensical claims and insults, unbridled chauvinism, racism, bigotry, xenophobia, and "locker room banter." The people who are voting for him, who will not be swayed, are not going to go away after the election.

We've been moved back to square one in terms of repairing our broken system now.

(FTR, The pity I felt for him the other day has been healed. I no longer feel empathy for him. His madness has been displayed globally and he thinks he's winning......A true psychopath, folks. It was just like in the debates, Hillary wore red and Donald wore blue, a subtle message that contradicted their personalities.

I think the deeper understanding comes from the revision of the Smith-Mundt act, effectively legalizing domestic propaganda.

Anyways, it shouldn't be a concern to you, if you're are in favor of Obama/Hillary then whatever lies is spouted, whatever clever tactics are used to manipulate people, why should you care?

What I don't understand, is why you are concerned about media manipulation when it tilts in your favor.

You are running under the assumption that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are adversaries. Donald is not stupid, and his gaffs are also part of this media manipulation.

What does this whole dinner party tell me, it tells me that a domestic enemy is being created. The Reactionary Right, is reacting to a perceived threat, and it is real, but they are only a tool. The establishment has been working diligently for years to paint the right as pure evil, as the new nazi movement; what are we as a people to do against this existential threat?

You support Hillary, because of positions she has taken, but this is where you are being manipulated; because those positions are questionable at best. Do you honestly believe, that a 1%'er would have your best interests in mind?

It's not popular to say this, but Trump is controlled opposition. What you don't understand, is that a Hillary Clinton presidency would be the death knell to true liberalism.

This relates to our economic system, we are not under capitalist rule. Under Bush and Obama, America has opted for 'too big to fail' bailouts. Capitalism takes the booms with the busts, it reflects nature; our system does not allow for the busts, and delays the inevitable bust while compounding it exponentially into an unimaginable nightmare.

I don't think you are truly qualified to make any assessments on psychological manipulation. Catholicism is a system of control, an outdated one at that, the adherents to this religion do not get their beliefs from a book. I know this is anecdotal, but I have family members who are devout Catholics. I have tried discussing the Catholic Bible with them, and to my surprise they never read it, it was interpreted for them by the religious authority. This was my biggest surprise, because I don't attend church, but my devout family members know less of what is actually written in the Catholic Bible than I do; because I actually read it.

Also, different colors mean different things to different groups; it depends on the environment they were raised. Red can mean blood and death, or it can mean passion and conviction; black can mean evil and darkness, or it can mean power and authority - only examples, but I hope you get my drift.

My only criticism of you, and I believe you are truly caring and want to make a better world, is that you would reject Trump while accepting Clinton when both are equally abhorrent and antithetical to true change.

My advice to you, if you want it or not, do not place your faith in man, woman, or God; only yourself.

I don't know what you're getting at, except that media manipulation is real.

So, there's that. It's in my favor that I am able to recognize it and to describe and point it out, though...right? Is that what you mean?

That it's in my favor that I can float above/outside of it and recognize it for what it really is ----- yes, I guess that's true.

What I am concerned about is all the people out there who get manipulated by the artistry, the composition, the stage set, the lighting, the music, the camera angles, the wardrobes, and all that other crap......

because they are being made to look like fools. And lots of them don't even realize it.
That's why I am concerned.
