Combustion is bad for your lungs. VERY BAD. It raises health costs for everyone. In regard to tobacco, mainly. People who smoke pipes, cigars or canabis I imagine smoke less.

Brother in-law lost his teeth from chew, it looks like he may lose more. You left out chew

I quit long ago, was addicted by my Father long before I had a choice along with all my Bro-Sisters. Now dad has quit sure wish it would have been long ago and saved us all the cost and health problems. Good friend has quit someone I thought never would, very proud of the guy!

Oh .My.Goodness!

Please Be safe

Do not stand, sit, climb or lean on zoo fences

If you fall, animals could eat you, and that might make them sick

Thank You

I am afraid that my stomach isn´t surviving this night!

I guess they are all real, thanks to our American cousins and litigation, no one is responsible for their own welfare anymore. This world is now officially "MENTAL", last winter i was told by the wife to clear the Ice from the front door in case the Postman slipped, we are responsible for his safety ......... whatever, just be fkn careful Mr Postman ....... it's icy out

I guess this whole nanny state thing, those stupid rules and PC stuff will have the opposite effect, as thought by the rulers, on the people.

I am tired, have to sleep now, or better have to watch some episodes of Dexter, till i sleep.
Wish all of you a good night, or day, wherever you are....

They are hard to ignore when your subconscious is seing it during the day. Everytime you smoke it creates a negative assotiation. You'll learn to connect smoking with it. 95 – 99% of our life comes from the programming in our subconscious mind.

Yup and that is exactly how its suppose to work!
Nobody actually quits smoking because of the pictures and they know that.
I dont pay attention to them and I exchange the package with an old normal looking one.

Oh and I actually smoke less, without even trying, since I've been smoking the organic tobacco... Pretty telling for me

Not a smoker and not really concerned with the pictures but I don't think they're there to put off the already smoking but to deter those who might pick it up like teens etc. And while against the EU, I don't think it was just an EU order but one that many countries were already talking about, the EU was just the one that pushed it through the goal posts.

Why focus on tobacco?

How about medicine with multiple dangerous side effects, commercial agriculture which poisons the environment and the food we eat, and the deaths caused by global dominance?

I'm sorry, but if I want to smoke I will damn well smoke! I mean it's my body and I have a right to do what I want with it right? If you say I am wrong, then let's add a woman's right to an a abortion to the mix!

Sorry, but you can stand on your soap box and virtue signal to your hearts content, but you can't tell me nor anyone else who consciously makes a decision to smoke because you do not own our body nor our life!

To steal another members tag!

"Tired of Control Freaks"!

The world is being ripped apart at the seems and you are worried about people who smoke? GTFOOH

We obviously agree on this but they won't stop here because of us. They do it because they can. They'll do more and more to look busy. For me it's a reminder they have the power to enforce whatever social engineering they want. From carbon taxes to the next battle of the Somme. People like this.

Got it. Not a big deal. They have just made it into my safe-zone, my chill-zone, home, room and on my dining table. I can forget about Syria for a week or two if I want to but not about everyday psychological socialistic spam in my pocket. It is a symbol.

You understand my name tag perfectly!

when I look at the whole picture of PC thinking and behavior, the CFC caused a hole in the ozone layer, climate change, health nazi edicts - the whole thing no longer makes any sense.

I feel, that people are getting antsy. That this is all more than just being polite and considerate of other people (which was the response of most of the population). These people are getting around us and talking to politicians as if they actually represent us (and we are paying them tax dollars to do so).

There is nothing wrong with being anti-racist and no one wanted to interfere with that notion. But now its gone to the point where white people, especially males, must undergo special orientation to punish themselves for having "special priviledges", even if they never had any, simply by virtue of being a member of a group. Is that not racism?

There was nothing wrong with anti-smoking. Who could object to the government advising the public of any adverse health impacts (whether real or imagined). It is the government's role to educate the public. But it has gone far far past any health concerns when society demands that children be "protected" from seeing us (smoking bans in parks). Who else will the children not be allowed to see?

It has all gone into ongoing harassment and psychological warfare with no end in sight.

I feel as thought the general public are starting to sense their danger and are now getting very very anger. I worry that it is too lake to stop any of this without violence.

Do you have any thoughts on this?

What kind of violence? Throwing molotovs didn't caused Brexit. Violence only use to give a moral ammo to the opponent.

Yeah, I get some nasty ones on my packs too.

Gangrene feet, just awful pics.

I've been a heavy smoker for 48 yrs. Thank God I don't have any issues.

I don't mind the pics but I don't think they should be on any of the packs.

They are gross and unnecessary propaganda.

5 of my wifes close friends have cancer and they never smoked.

Reminds me of the joke about the girl buying cigarettes.
Clerk gives her a pack with a warning on about lung cancer and she asks "Can I have the one that says it harms your baby instead?"
"Why?" Says the clerk.
"Because I'm on the pill."

I am not suggesting that violence should occur. I do not in any way condone violence.

I said that I fear it happening. I think more on a one to one basis than on a broader canvas. ie some man turning around and punching someone in the face for being harassed over some small thing.

Ok, thanks for participating in an ugly thread.

Just let me add one thought. What if it works as a suggestion and it will make you sick psychosomatically? Like an evil placebo?

Kinda like the evil eye? There are fair number of people that think so. Get lung cancer - of course its because you smoke! But since the rate of smoking in the population went down, the number of cases of lung cancer has not decreased and it is known that almost 60 % of new lung cancer cases occur in woman who have never smoked.
