this is just plain damned creepy....

I find the Al Smith dinner appalling. It is something they probably would not broadcast if they knew how much it damages them in the minds and hearts of ordinary people.

It's all for raising money for charity. Why do you find that appalling? It's like a celebrity roast but for charity.

People that get everything they want all the time need to do something (to show themselves and others) to justify their egregious behaviors.

They are essentially trying to buy good will while at the same time expressing bad will. They are selfish megalomaniacs, heartless and condescending tyrants who have no respect for other human beings. Their policy positions prove this.

They'll need a hell of a lot of "charity" to buy their way out of the Truth. In fact they need to give up their power to ever have a chance, but we all know it's too late, they'll never come around.

The reference to Trump being of the elite and the establishment is really untrue. Trump is some guy from Queens who made lots and lots of money. To the elite in Manhattan he has never been admitted into their circle, and he is not one of their club. With the establishment in general he is welcomed because of his wealth, but he has never been on the deep inside. Boys from Queens never make it that far no matter how much money they may have.

Let's rewrite this for accuracy:

Trump is some guy from Queens who was born into a millionaire family. He made lots and lost of money after his father bankrolled his earliest efforts. He has rubbed shoulders with the Manhattan elite, belonging to the same clubs as them, for forty years but many people do not trust him because he appears incapable of diplomacy. People who prefer a more brutal approach are rarely genuinely welcomed anywhere.
