The NFL is not rigged.

After watching Rothlesburger throw two (or was it three) interceptions yesterday - I'm just not so sure anymore.
It has to be a conspiracy. That is the only logical explanation.

At least that's the excuse I'm using for now.

Gazrok! Gazrok!

Be for real man!

The NFL wouldn't dare let the NWO maniupulate them in any way!

Come on now!

I pick the Patriots over the Eagles 41-17.

Neither team is my favorite (I'm Pathers), but I will pull for the Patriots to go 3 in a row.

Long time no see my friend - missed ya. But you couldn't resist rubbing in a little salt in my wound, eh? It just seems like every time the Steelers get close they have a Quarterback meltdown - Big Ben, Stewart, and O'Donnell - it has to be NWO related.

BTW I will resist the urge to bring up the Bears - it could be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

I don't follow baseball at all, but wasn't the world series Boston vs New York? Odd cooincidence considering the political conventions were held in
the corresponding cities that year. I don't want to sound like a fruit cake but sybolism and 'hidden messages' are all around us, in coporate logos, ensignas, music and others. The method has been around alot longer than many think it has. One of the old words for this tatic was troubadore. The illuminati are known to reveal much through symbolism and allegory that the average person would be totally oblivious to.

It's not just the NFL. My old highschool and its rival haven't been doing so well in the last few years. The Indio Rajahs and the Coachella Arabs have been getting it handed to them the other teams in the area since 9/11..... and actually for the better part of a decade running before that too. For some reason the kids from the rich cities near palm springs just do a lot better than the farm kids on my side of the valley. Something to do with them using steroids while the farm kids are using dirt-weed.

Ok, now i believe there is a "NWO" type plot in place, but this thread takes it way too far in my opinion. Let this Boston native give you a little New England sports history.

The Patriots got good because Tom Brady is a better quarterback than Drew Bledsoe. After Bledsoe got hurt early in the 2001 season, they were forced to use Brady (the back-up QB). Turns out, Brady did better than Bledsoe, so Brady became the starting QB. That's why the Patriots have won 2 Superbowls, and are appearing in another one. No NWO plot, no Illuminati fix.

The Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees have been the greatest rivals in pro-sports history since the Red Sox traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees in 1920. "The Curse of the Bambino" is the notion that since that trade, the Red Sox have been cursed by never winning a World Series, often losing in heart-breaking ways (look up Bucky Dent, whose middle name cannot be said here
and Bill Buckner). Now before a team can go to the World Series, they must play in the playoffs, first series is 5 games, second series is 7 games. Oftentimes, the Yankees and the Red Sox would face each other at one point or another in these playoffs. Sad to say for Red Sox Nation, the Yankees usually won. Except in 2004, when the Sox were down 3 games to none against the Yankees, and won four in a row to go on to the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Boston swept, and became the World Series Champions for the first time since 1918. Some would say this was because of fate, because of the red moon, because of the song "Tessie," or any number of other things. I'd like to think it was because of Terry Francona, Boston's new head coach, a clubhouse that was on the same page, and a little determination combined with some really good hitting and even better pitching. Again, no NWO, no Illuminati.

Next point, if the NWO plot was to fix the outcomes of sports games in order to further their agenda, why didn't the New York Yankees win the World Series in October of 2001? After 9/11, that would have been the greatest win for the Yankees ever, and would have been an emotional victory for the people of New York. Instead, the Arizona Diamondbacks won.

The Eagles are in the Superbowl because they played a better game than the Falcons. The Patriots are in the Superbowl because they know how to win, and they were playing against a rookie QB who hasn't gotten his post-season legs yet. The playoffs came down to the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees because that's how it has been for a while, with both teams usually taking the #1 and #2 spots in the American League.

Now I don't doubt that the Illuminati loves the fact that sports have consumed our culture, and in some cases, our lives as much as they have, but I honestly think some of you are looking too hard for a conspiracy here.

Come on people, think seriously about some of the comments you all have made here. Conspiracy in the NFL? Yes come Sunday after next there is gonna be a huge football game of which will decide on global domination. Take your meds people and stop listening to the voices in your heads. It just happens to be the time of BOSTON domination over the nations sports. During the past few decades the Bruins and Celtics were winning championships. Now since the NHL is defunct and the Celtics blow its time for more Boston championships. Sure there was a lull in the 90's of nothing at all but now, now at least the next decade will be ours again. Has nothing to do with conspiracies. Belichek/Francona for the first dual presidency in 2008!Go PATS!

If anything, the patriots would represent the people since patriots were originally rebels against Brittain. If anything, the Eagles would represent them since the eagle is one of the symbols that they love to use to represent themselves. It be strange if the Eagles blew out the Patriots 20 years later after getting blown out by the Bears (which would represent nature if anything, not the soviets since they really weren't that good without the D and Payton). The closest team that could be put together with the soviets during the cold war would be the Steel Curtain Pittsburgh Steelers of the late 70s.

The only way we know the Superbowl is rigged is if the Lions go, and win.

The Steelers/Pats game fixdxed? That is too funny. We outplayed the Steelers across the board and Brady was playing at his best. The Steelers just plain lost....get over it! We have a DYNASTY here in Massachusetts!

OK, I had to chime in here - I am one of those crazy Eagles fans. I am still NUMB with elation over the fact that the Eagles are finally going to the Super Bowl!

I don't care how they got there, NWO or otherwise. They are going! Seriously, as any football fan can state, the Eagles got there because of a true team committment, lead by great leaders - I think good ole, Dubya could learn something here.........

GO EAGLES!!!

I suppose if the Redskins and the Chiefs were in the Superbowl....some here would find some sort of plot created by the Native Americans. First they get control of some of the casinos like Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun here in Connecticut and now they have control over the SuperBowl...

And if a Florida team was in the game, it would be a plot involving Jeb Bush and if a Texas team was in it...it would be a plot by Dubya....

And if 2 cheesy scrub teams were in it, well that would of course be an Al Queda plot to make us Americans look silly.

Well after reading this thread...it appears a lot of Americans have no problem making themselves look silly.

The rookie factor in the big game was certainly a big reason; look how poorly he performed againts the Jets.

Plus, there was a problem with his thumb... they were pouring ice water over it when he was on the sidelines.

Anybody see Hines Ward crying over the impending retirement of Bettis? The Boston press had a field day with that one - one station was even handing out tickets to a winetasting event to callers that dialed in after hearing the sobs.

The Pats are the real deal. Look at how they manhandled Manning and the Colts the week before spanking Pittsburgh.

I have a picture of Manning crying after his pitiful defeat at the hands of the PATRIOTS....he thought he had a good shot after performing well in his previous game, but the Pats spanked him and took him to school.....and he cried like the nancy-boy he is!!!!

I don't know anymore, about how that game went down. The eagles had possession for at least the last 6-7 minutes of the 4th quarter to only come up with one TD and over 3-4 minutes of wasted clock. It's the superbowl and never in history had a team moved so slow while being under in the final minutes. Did they think it was still the 3rd? And even after the 2 minute warning, they wasted clock. Well if the Patriots stand for the people and the eagles stand for them, I guess we won because no football team would've played like that. McNabb choking and blowing chunks, give me a break.

Then on the second hand.

They moved so slowly because they couldn't go into the no-huddle offense. They couldn't go into the no-huddle offense because McNabb was vomiting and couldn't shout out the plays. He was vomiting, and the Eagles were cramping (and one actually had to ge an IV during the game) because they were undisciplined. Acting like teenagers instead of men, they had been out drinking heavily the night before.

Ya poor Donovan McNabb was "supposedly" sick that he couldn't even call a few plays. Two weeks before Brady had the flu, had a temperature of 103 degrees by gametime and the night before was so dehydrated he had an IV in his arm. Look at what Brady did in that game and tell me McNabb had an excuse for the way that game turned out. No NWO plot and no excuses. Go PATS and vote for Belichek/Francona in 2008.

The only evidence for a fixed game was back when te pats played the raiders in the AFC championship game.

The "tuck" rule is the worst call in the history of sports. Other then that though, the Eagles simply beat themselves this past superbowl.
