We've heard Trump promise over and over that he is going to release his tax returns before the election.

So where are they?

I know his vulgar bragging of sexual assaulting women and the multiple women coming forward sharing their stories of Trump assaulting them has kind of overshadowed this, but I don't think it is something that we should forget about.

With Trump not releasing his tax returns, he is breaking a long held tradition of Presidential candidates being transparent with their tax returns.

What exactly is Trump hiding in his tax returns?

He does not have to release them!

There is no law that says he does!

It is TRADITION that is screwing up the US political system.

It is broken! The people need to fix it.

They were emailed to Hillary. Maybe she doesn't remember receiving them.

Really?

You can learn a lot about a candidate from their tax returns.

For example.

- How much they pay in taxes
- Real estate holdings and taxes
- What they are invested in
- How much they gave to charity and which charity they gave to
- Who they are in business with
- Who they are in debt to
- Offshore accounts

For the most part, these tax returns for candidates are usually pretty boring. However, the ONE candidate we should all be curious about seeing, an international businessman, and he seems to be refusing to release them.

To me, that says he is hiding something.

Even if he releases them, they will be a big nothing, maybe a bankruptcy to shield assets, and lots of big and maybe embarrassing write-offs to shield from taxes which is legal, but even if released, does that mean you would be satisfied, or will you then look for another Trump issue to whine about?

Trump required Pence to show his candidacy his Tax returns before they let him on the ticket to make sure he was worthy of the position.

As for Trump showing the same to the American public. Well, there seems to be a problem there.

Which is more disturbing:

1. Trump's unreleased taxes which are not required by law

or,

2. DOJ telling the FBI to get lost. (CNN)Officials from the FBI and Department of Justice met several months ago to discuss opening a public corruption case into the Clinton Foundation, according to a US official. At the time, three field offices were in agreement an investigation should be launched after the FBI received notification from a bank of suspicious activity from a foreigner who had donated to the Clinton Foundation, according to the official.
FBI officials wanted to investigate whether there was a criminal conflict of interest with the State Department and the Clinton Foundation during Clinton's tenure.

www.cnn.com...

If what Commey is saying is true, his staff is the best of the best and Loretta Lynch went with his determination on the emails no questions asked why deny this request? Makes no effin sense.

Well....if smart like HRC then all those things are hidden in his "Foundations". Either way, as others pointed out, there is no law that he has to release them so not really seeing the issue here other than the HRC team whining about it.

I've never understood the fascination with candidate's tax returns. Most of their income won't even show up on them, nor in any FDIC-insured bank accounts anyhow. Now if there was a "how much money did you really get and how did you get it" form, I'd be interested in that.

Donald Trump's corporate return would make the volume of Wiki documents look small by comparison.

I could just see CNN finding a schedule-C expense for "LV Brothel" and filling the screen with BREAKING CRITICAL NEWS! banners followed by WULF BLISTER exclaiming, "CNN has discovered that Donald Trump visited a Brothel, and wrote off $20,000 of expenses related to his weekend of groping sex orgies!!!"

In actuality it would be a legal deduction for electrical fixtures in a Las Vegas Brothel owned by Trump Hotels.

Mitt Romney's tax return is miniscule compared to Trump's, yet the MSM piranhas circled and attacked Romney for days, before realizing that they were wrong. Idiot CNN did apologize, but it was at 3:00am, 2 sentences, and only that once.

No, it isn't to stop the American people from seeing them, it's to spit in Hillary's face because it is the Hillary campaign making a mountain out of it. As if it has even a tiny bit of merit to it.

I have actually thought it may be a play by Trump to make them look really bad. Let them work up a frenzy over it then release them showing nothing off and rip a new a-hole into the HRC machine.

People care about his taxes about as much as people care about the bags of money handed to the Foundation from places like Saudi Arabia. We have borderline feeble minded people in the US. This is despite having more access to information than the rest of world. That is more scary than both these candidates.
