This puts all the pieces together perfectly. Trump and his inner circle of right-wing media execs know that he's not going to win the election and they're putting together a new alt-right media empire.

Financial Times - Trump son-in-law makes approach on post-election TV start-up

Mr Kushner — an increasingly influential figure in the billionaire’s presidential campaign — contacted Aryeh Bourkoff, the founder and chief executive of LionTree, a boutique investment bank, within the past couple of months, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.

Their conversation was brief and has not progressed since, the people said. Mr Bourkoff and Mr Kushner both declined to comment.

However, the approach suggests Mr Kushner and the Republican candidate himself are thinking about how to capitalise on the populist movement that has sprung up around their campaign in the event of an election defeat to Democrat Hillary Clinton next month. Mr Trump has in recent days ramped up his criticism of the “dishonest and distorted” mainstream media, which he accuses of being biased against him in collusion with the Clinton campaign.

Roger Ailes invented right-wing infotainment. If you read my Roger Stone thread, you saw this:

Interesting (and important side note):

In 1967, the then Executive Producer of the The Mike Douglas Show struck up a conversation with show guest Nixon following his appearance. That conversation led to the Executive Producer, Roger Ailes, becoming Richard Nixon's media consultant. Though it would be decades before his dream was fully realized in Fox News, Ailes had been planning it fo r decades:

A memo entitled “A Plan for Putting the GOP on TV News,” buried in the the Nixon library details a plan between Ailes and the White House to bring pro-administration stories to television networks around the country. It reads: “Today television news is watched more often than people read newspapers, than people listen to the radio, than people read or gather any other form of communication. The reason: People are lazy. With television you just sit—watch—listen. The thinking is done for you.”

It's no coincidence that Roger Ailes (a long time associate of Stone, Manafort AND Trump) was brought into the campaign along with Bannon, CEO of Breitbart News who has been carefully trying to expand the media empire. Sean Hannity is openly campaigning for Trump and his contract with Fox is up next year. Lou Dobbs is doxxing Trump accusers. Then you've got Stone on with Alex Jones constantly.

Clearly they're not expecting to win — why else would Kushner be approaching investors for a Trump media company? Instead, Trump is dumping the election and at the same time making himself the world's most prominent alt-right figure as he continues to launch attack after attack on the "mainstream media."

Everything being released point to Trump as a plant by the Clinton campaign because it was a sure fire win.

What concerns me. If true, is he in on it? Will he take a fall in the 9th?

Troubling for sure.

Wouldn't this belong more in general conspiracies, the gray area, or skunkworks? You do realize that every single Trump thread doesn't have to be in the pit?

You're right. If the mods want to move it, they'll get no argument from me.

I hope his first order of business is a major boycott of products that advertise on CNN. Make CNN like Kryptonite. I will go full-time day and night to do that.

it's been pretty obvious that he was a controlled opposition from the jump. This doesn't surprise me at all. It's a win-win for both Clinton and Trump, who are both in the same circles (Clinton obviously has a lot more influence in those circles as well, due to her history and her and her husband's dealings)

Yeah, this thought has been around for a little while now. Trump joined the race to make his brand better because he wants money. More money is his entire motivation. Even he didn't think he would become the nominee but little did he know that bringing his reality TV experience to the race would propel him to the nomination. Among conservatives he's clearly the top dog (sad!) but with everyone else he's nothing but a con man, pathological liar, thin skinned bully and he knows he cannot get their vote.

So with the help of Fox News creator and sexual predator Roger Ailes, Fox News blowhard Sean Hannity, Breitbart's racist Chairman, and everyone's favorite over the top doom porn conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, Trump will lose the election but possibly make millions creating a conservative news outlet that will be full of conspiracies about the left wing. Yawn fest if you ask me but clearly conservatives will eat this up!

I hear Glenn Beck's The Blaze is going bankrupt so expect this possible new right wing "news" outlet to fill that void and then some!

Also expect ATS to have many threads using said "news" outlet as a source.

I love how Trump critics continually go around throwing that phrase around like it's some kind of pejorative.

'Right Wing'.

Want to stop with the political neologisms ?

Because it's never used in the correct sense.

This has been such a cluster #### I don't think they EVER expected him to win. Something definitely is up. This has been such a time of dis-information-wars... I can't keep up with who is in with who these days.

If I could write my candidate in I would write in JFK. It would make more sense.

Frankly, I'm embarrassed and sick of these fools ruling me and mine!

Talk about a non issue of ALL non issues.

For those of us who can think for ourselves.

A billionaire oligarch named Ted Turner created CNN.

Another billionaire oligarch named Rupert Murdoch created FOX news in response to the rampant media bias of the time.

Another one percenter named Al Gore created current tv until he sold it to a fossil fuel state in the middle east.

Who bloody cares if Trump does?

Hell he could call it TNN.

Anyhoo.

I think that you use the term conservative, but you don't know what it means. Social conservatives can't stand Trump. Fiscal conservatives don't believe that his policies have a chance in h-e-double hockey sticks. Paleoconservatives like him, but that's about it. The rest of Trump's base is something different.

I guess this exemplifies the notion that if you can't beat the system, you just join it.

Hardly surprising.

Being that conservatives voted this man as their representative I think I know exactly what they are. But, what would you call them if not conservative? Deplorable?

It was obvious to me when Trump talked about "grabbing pu$$y" that he never cared about winning any election; Not to mention insulting Hispanic voters and minorities in general. He's not serious.

The largest voting demographic in America is women and they don't like it when you grab their privates just because you have a lot of money.

www.census.gov...

But if you support Trump be sure and vote on the 28th of November.

Beat me to it, lets not forget the news outlets that are infiltrated
and Pwoned by The Clintons and Obama, as proved with the DNC
and Podesta links.

CNN, Clinton News Network...

I hate to call a spade a spade, but you're a fool. 40% of the Republican party voted for him. 60% didn't. Not all members of the GOP can be considered conservatives. Most of Trump's base is Republican by default.
