Persecution is coming. It's our burden as Christans. Yet, in America the persecution has been lacking. Granted, it is the only nation on the face of the planet (that I know of) that started as the first Christian nation established as a Christian nation. That could explain why it has been such a coast ride for us to date. However, there is a concerted effort to take this country by the Enemy. And they were winning because we were silent little lambs amidst the pain, but that's no longer good enough. So we screamed out with a vengance that had the secular world reeling, and they still are. There are all kinds of words used for us now, since the secular world started attacking America. We're neo-cons, the religious right, idiots, etc. Look to the past of prejudice. It starts with a special title for the group about to be persecuted. Happened with the Indians, blacks, and jews at various points in history, and it will happen to Christians. The only difference between us and those groups is we already know who wins. Even if we don't live through it in our physical bodies, we don't have much to fear. God beats Satan. Religion beats secularism. Jesus Christ beats Michael Newdow.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light, but do not resort to the secular means of attack. We are Christians. Much like America, we fight with our own rules which are above those of other people. Or, at least, they should. We don't attack the individual, we attack the concept. Remember, beloved, for the world to know the truth, there could be no greater proof than to live Christ's life. How do you know what type of situations people on this board have been through and how they have responded? It’s pretty arrogant to say that, you have no idea what any of us have done to protect people in the past. Are you the type of guy that would call a combat medic a coward because he would not carry a gun into battle, but faced the same risk and danger to help his fellow men?

Then there is the fact that this situation is entirely different then many other situations. This is not a criminal/rapist/murderer breaking into your house, this is something that is preordained by God, and it is a battle of faith and between faiths. As in who is your God, this world and worldly life (what you so desperately want to protect), or God. Regardless of what the Mark of the Beast may be, this is what it represents, choosing this world over a direct order from God, to protect your ability to maintain a worldly lifestyle. If you remember correctly the Centurions where teasing Christ on the Cross about coming down and showing his power. He could have, he could have destroyed them all, and it must have been tempting, but it was not the will of God. If he had given into this temptation, then none of us would have been saved through his death.

There is also some difference here between several of the scenarios that you put out. I have no problem with putting myself in harms way to protect someone, but in the end time scenario, it is like Christ on the cross, it is something that has to be done the way that God wants it done. There is no changing it, no matter how much you fight it, because it is predestined. You think that by putting up a resistance you are going to change Gods outcome in the situation. You are only fooling yourself if you believe this. A foolish hope of someone that IS afraid to die, a hope that your desire to live and fight will overpower Gods will.

Again, you miss the point, did you not even read my post. I am getting quite tired and perhaps I did not state my case clearly. The two situations you are talking about are entirely different.

One is fighting a band of criminals over a crime, the second is being a criminal yourself that is standing up to an unjust government over an issue of faith.

By the way how do you figure that any of us deny that this is going to happen, I have not seen a single person here dispute that it is prophesied. So stop with the attempts to scare people into reading your site, and with the nonsense that you have some special insight into the end times. Everyone that is a Christian sees what is coming down the pike.
