The Trump Brand Is So Toxic That His Company Is Now Planning Hotels Without His Name.

As Politico pointed out on Friday, at the end of September the company, led by Trump and his three oldest children, announced its new hotel brand would be called Scion. That means “descendant of a notable family,” noted the press release.

If this does not quite signal the Trump Organization's retreat from the scandal, lies, and bigotry that have characterized Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, it does appear to represent a hedge of business against politics. And Scion may be an early indicator of how Trump the brand—which birthed Trump the politician—might wind up feeling, and managing, the backlash.

I dont doubt that Trump's running for POTUS has affected his future revenue from the hotel business.

Would a Hillary supporter or a Trump "hater" intentionally avoid staying at a Trump property?

I think so.

And according to this article, thats exactly whats been happening:

According to data from Hipmunk, Trump’s hotel bookings have dropped by an average of 59 percent compared to the last year, almost directly in line with when he entered the race and began attracting international attention for his racist and sexist remarks on the campaign trail.

Meanwhile, other hotels saw a rise in sales compared to last year, showing this is not merely part of an industry-wide trend.

I will say this.

This past summer, I stayed at a Trump property.

It was definitely on the pricey side but the accommodations and service were excellent.

For whats its worth, I would highly recommend.

I've always hated his Atlantic City Casinos and shockingly they've just closed down. Many people lost their jobs. So yea, whether he ran or not I'd still avoid anything Trump. Although, the breakfast buffet was fantastic!

They are simply not enough. Cutting out women is over half the nation, cut out minorities your even worse off, then you cut off college educated whites and your screwed. He was down 15% before any of his real insanity started. Tru mp hotels and casino traffic has taken a huge hit since Trump started running for president He can sell his supporters books, pay per view and charge them for speeches but, they are not enough to support a national brand.

After Trumps loss, he will become a right wing media giant and continue the same lame BS that lost him the election.

But that won't matter because he has re branded himself and has the LIV in his pocket. It will be yuggggeee! Believe me!

However, buy all the Trump memorabilia you can afford, hats, Tshirts, pennants, foam fingers, everything. In time loser items are always worth more than the winners of elections.

No doubt his real estate dealings are going to be affected by all his crazy rhetoric and accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior. Before the general public just knew him as a successful real estate investor. Nobody knew the real Donald Trump until he started running his hate campaign. Some of his dirty business dealings have been exposed and he's made a lot of people look at him in a negative light. Many of these people probably won't stay at his hotels for that simple reason. He's tarnished his own Trump brand and I'm sure his business ventures will suffer the consequences.

It will be interesting to see if the "global elite" and financiers are quite so keen to lend him money after this car crash.

Wow, that hotel room was absolutely ridiculous! If I even had the money to stay in something like that I would probably pass on it. It's overkill! It's specially made places for the 1% that make the rest of us just shake our heads in disbelief.

I'm sure that in his foolish mind he actually believed that this whole thing would make him more rich and powerful.
But chalk this up to yet another bad business decision on his part.

He believed he was untouchable. His words have proved this over and over (that he thought he was untouchable). He was wrong. No big surprise.
