I got a idea. the media likes reporting and creating violence so much they are finally going to get it back in spades.
I suspect if the elections close Trump supporters might just go and start a uprising if trump demands blood.

So your idea is that after Trump loses on Nov 8th his supporters should start a violent uprising? Some really critical thought, there. Lemme know when you decide to pick up the pitchfork...that intimated uprising won't work out well for you. Not all.

I think it's clear who are the scariest bunch.

1) Followers of a man who is literally torn to shreds by the media for every single fault.

Or..

2) The followers of someone who can get away with anything.

You know who else could get away with anything during their time?

That's right. Him. H.

The only frenzy I see is from Hillary supporters.

Both confirmed paid internet posters and foolish naive volunteers alike are in full panic mode and completely disconnected from reality.

I'm okay with some violence.
Maybe even proud that the same people supporting Trump are obviously the ones that are awake enough to know that it's time to get angry.

Imagine when/if Hillary wins by some VERY thin margins.... Might just get downright interesting

No stop that bull# line of thought. Did the DEMs go to civil war because Gore lost? NO they moved on and worked with the government going forward.

Trump or Clinton is not worth starting a Civil War over because you didnt get your way.

Physical violence has erupted on both sides; it's not "one-sided."

Thats not what you said in your OP - here's a reminder

Look at that lady, up above ... do you think that's going to fade away in November? ... and there are thousands like her, who are now buying into Trump's new crucified Messiah pitch.

Now what sort of "public service" are you peddling?

This is truly the greatest smear campaign in all of US history.

If you are a part of this smear campaign, you are on the wrong side of history.

How can you live with yourself?

The interent is forever.

You will forever be remembered as a traitor.

forever.

Why are you using revolutionary talk defending Trump? What in Trump makes you feel the need for Civil war?

Are you delusional?

I said nothing of revolution or civil war.

What, for supporting someone who a proven track record in government, who has survived multiple witch hunts by frothing GOP people in Congress, who has a coherent set of policies, who doesn't scream at her supporters and issue incoherent insults and who doesn't lie about online polls? You do realise that Trump is now off the rails and heading for the ravine... don't you?

Why are all these pro Hillary threads on the front page of ATS? WTAF?

I'm at a loss...

Up until recently it seemed that folks here would post threads about both candidates and a few Johnson threads, too. Now it anti Trump this, anti Trump that.

As for the topic at hand, I find the Hillary supporters to be MUCH nastier online and almost rabid in person. That's just been my experience though...

You're scared? Sounds like people are beginning to stand up against an unethical and unscrupulous institution hell bent on yellow journalism and profits.

Fox News has Lou Dobbs doxxing accusers and Sean Hannity and others actively campaigning for Trump. They've got an over 50% market share of cable "news" and have led the market the entire 14 years of their existence. Then there's Breitbart which has for all intents and purposes become an extension of the Trump campaign. Where's the WikiLeaks released "scandal" emails that are showing those egregious collusions? Nowhere because they're doing it right out in the open and nobody cares and nobody's hacking the Trump campaign or the RNC. Alex Jones is paying shills to protest openly. Nobody cares. CNN hired Trump's former campaign manager. Nobody cares. Donald Trump has the largest group of surrogates ever plastering the media. Nobody cares.

Let's not forget the entire political talk radio market is dominated by about a dozen folks like Limbaugh and Hannity. What percentage do you think Trump supporting hosts hold? 70% of the market? More?

Then there's the web. The left doesn't have a Drudge to dredge up all the garbage from The Conservative Treehouse, The Gateway Pundit, WND, etc — or sites like that to aggregte from (I'd have built an aggregator for it if there were lol). Then there are sites like TruePundit which claims to be the work of a single anonymous jackass purporting to have been twice nominated for Pulitzers.

That site was the source of the "invisible ear piece" hoax which claimed an "anonymous NYPD source" and the Assange "drone strike" fake scandal that also relied on a sole unnamed source. There's absolutely nothing like the alt-right on the left. On top of everything else, now there's RT and Sputnik to extend the echo chamber into the domain of Russian state-controlled media.

What does that leave?

Newspapers, magazines, half of cable "news" approximately and broadcast news which tends to be more neutral in most cases than any of the rest, reaches more people but for less time — what's more of an impact? Two people watching 30-60 minutes of broadcast news or one person watching five hours of cable news?

You know very well that newspaper endorsements are nothing new and that editors have been playing favorites since the printing press was invented. Even with the newspapers, there's been a few key journalists who have been going hard after Trump like Eichenwald and Farenthold and doing most of the heavy lifting.

When was this time when the media wasn't about profits? When was the time when sensationalism didn't sell? Hell the term "yellow journalism" dates back to the time of Hearst and Pulitzer. So if you're lamenting the trend of the last century and a quarter, sure thing. Strangely enough Trump doesn't have enough good things to say about the National Enquirer which ran a series of completely false stories about his primary opponents. Have you forgotten the invented Cruz sex scandal?

You are right in one regard though, Trump is exposing somethings about the media and their love of profits. Donald Trump is a media creation. How much attention would anyone have paid to this incoherent fool without his years of NBC pumping his orange mug into homes in a "reality tv show" that is by design as flattering to his persona as possible? How disproportionate has the coverage of Trump been since the beginning?

The unaccountable hacks from the far-right have this idiot parroting their headlines into a microphone. Trump's style is called bullsh#ing. Now he just bulls#s with a fringe wingnut shtick. There's nobody standing up to anything. They're giving in to the Steve Bannons and Alex Jones's of the world.

The rampant right-wing attacks on Clinton merely serve as a smoke-screen for the real crimes that she and others in her tier commit.

And what would those be? This ought to be good...

Figure it out.

When a majority opinion is forced upon a minority by means of a controlled media; it ceases to be just or a representation of the majority.

Ah.

Perhaps you'll explain how an opinion has been forced on anyone.

I'd like for you to look into those eyes and calculate the sanity you see left there

She is upset and angry - that says nothing about her sanity. One could make such glib accusations about half the threads on ATS using their own words to make such arm chair medical "analysis".

We get it by now, you are fearful of a zombie apocalypse should Trump lose....

You're a good one to talk about "glib analysis."

You just proved you don't get a single thing about any point I've made here. All you can do is offer your "arm chair analysis."

Physician, heal thyself.

It's about time the media outlets ditched the bias and reported things properly, to be fair Clintonites should be unhappy.about media bias too as it's a worldwide epidemic that needs to be corrected (I started out on the path of a journalist but didn't like.the sensationalism).

Maybe if people started holding the media accountable for the muck they spread and call news (CNN and BBC being the biggest culprits.

Are you only allowed to get annoyed at media bias of its aimed at you? From your OP it would xwrtainly seem so...

And "reporting things properly" means doing so in a way that reflects your world view more closely?

Please. Americans have been complaining about media bias, literally for CENTURIES.

One member quoted T. Jefferson talking about it. Come on.

How many times has anyone been escorted out of a Clinton rally for their safety?

Wow, that's right. ZERO.

Yada yada yada.

There are paid internet posters of all stripes and all persuasions.

Then there are those who can't make an cogent argument on their own; they tend to blame everything on shills.

More desperate "armchair analysis."

Perhaps when you can make a point without lying about what someone else has said, you can try gain.

The lady that is on the first page is about as unhinged as anyone I've ever seen a photograph of. You don't have to agree.

You're trying to argue that something I said in the OP suggests that violence has been "one-sided"? I didn't - that's not what those English words mean.

Violence, further, will not be one-sided in November. If thousands of Trump supporters are involved in some sort of half-baked "revolution" they will be put down, with violence, and many innocent people on all "sides" will be hurt or will die.

And "TPTB" will have ALL THE MORE REASON to actually impose more authoritarian BS.

So keep on desperately trying to twist my words "Light." You're only demeaning yourself.
