In the scenario of "choosing the lesser of two evils" voting for either candidate is a vote for "evil". Whether Trump or Hillary are literally evil I am not to judge but I do know neither is a good candidate to be president.

The Jennifer Palmieri story does not have the significance that the John Podesta email story about his starting "Catholic" organisations (with George Soros' money) to foment "revolution" in the Catholic Church. It is this Podesta story that has the real impact on daily mass-going Catholics. My estimate is that about 3/4 of the weekly mass-going Catholics will be very, very irritated by this story and it could push them to a Trump vote especially if they have lost jobs in manufacturing or the energy sector. The sort of self-identified Catholic who never attends mass has been in the Clinton's pocket from the start. But even some of them may be rattled a bit by discussion of this topic.

Some see this as insignificant, but the Catholic vote in general is essential for Clinton to win.

Thanks for you input, I was not aware they were separate
emails, but thought they were part of a chain.

In any case, I would agree the "Catholic Spring" and the infiltration
is more egregious, yet not sure that part made it to the mainstream?

I could be wrong, would be awesome if it did. I thought this was
significant because the one group has over 500,000 members.

Personally, it is all very suspect, I find their words hateful think it
is reprehensible people would infiltrate a church. But I have seen
that firsthand, so I know it happens.

The reference to SC is likely scientology, more specifically, people grabbed back from scientology like Murdoch's son.
The e-mail seems to be saying that though no longer scientologists, some of the ideas of scientology are coming into the Catholic faith in the rich upper echelons of the faith, through these people.
What the girl was saying in reply was that in effect, these rich groups have nothing to do with ordinary Catholics with faith.

If a boy steals a candy bar in the store and isn't discovered... is he still a good boy? If he is discovered by someone and that someone reports him, is that someone a bad person?

Stop deflecting... the issues are the things discussed in the mails, not the messenger.
