Amy Grant was the first Christian artist to break through to main stream.

In a 1985 article she said

'I have a healthy sense of right and wrong, but sometimes, for example, using foul, exclamation-point words among friends can be good for a laugh'

Times have changed since 1985. Use some foul words among friends in mid 2000's, it will be the lead story in the news for days.

When the PC culture is more fascist then a 25 year old Cristian singer in 1985, we might have an issue.

Really? Maybe your friends are a bit too puritanical then. I can swear in front of my friends without them getting all weirded out. For example:

We were all hanging out this past weekend when I told my liberal friend she was an effing moron for voting for Clinton and my conservative friend the same thing for voting for Trump.

Then we laughed and laughed until my liberal friend tried to suicide me and my conservative friend tried to choke me with his tiny hands.

A Christian singer admitting she sometimes uses foul language with her friends in an attempt to come across as "real"in a magazine interview vs. A now presidential candidate flaunting his abuse of power and glorifying sexual abuse. Same/same.

We're sorry. We don't know what got in to us. If you meet us at the old abandoned warehouse at midnight we will apologize in person. Come alone, ol' buddy.

I still haven't run into this alleged PC Culture. Where do they hide? Everything seems more free and open to me than it did in the 1980's

Oh really? Last time I checked, conservatives aren't exactly known for being forgiving to LGBT members, "illegal immigrants", union members, socialists, communists, Muslims, people in inner cities, people on Welfare, or anyone else they don't agree with. Right wing "tough on crime" and "zero tolerance" policies are also great forms of right wing "forgiveness", right?

And since actual pacifists and "tree hugging" environmentalist hippies are part of the liberal left wing, I guess that would make us a bit more forgiving and merciful than conservatives. Conservatives even call us "weak" if we call for reconciliation or diplomacy instead of supporting new wars or "tough on crime" measures.

There's a very big difference between using colorful language in conversation... and confessing to sexually assaulting a woman (or women). If you want to make the case that it was welcome/invited/consensual, of course you are free to do so. One might also make the (pathetic but true) argument that the only difference between the vulgar talk of most men and the vulgar talk of Donald Trump is that most such men would preface their comments with "I wish I could" or "I want to" whereas Trump actually claimed to have walked the talk. Which would then beg the question why does Trump get away with it whereas other men do not...

But please do not confuse words with actions.
