Never let a crisis go to waste.

What a sleazy move. Hillary's campaign thought it might be a great ad buy opportunity to purchase on the weather channel...in order to capitalize on the fact that people concerned about the safety of their lives, families and property...will be watching for the latest updates, warnings and life-saving instructions regarding the hurricane.

Worried about your family getting sucked up into a vortex, drowned, impaled and filleted by glass, shrapnel & fence posts?---Well, let's take a brief pause in the action so Hillary can screech at you about Trump's taxes or a fat-shamed Miss Universe.

Apparently, enough people also thought that this was tasteless exploitation...so the Clinton campaign decided to postpone the ad buy...until AFTER the storm had actually hit and passed...and power has been restored.

Nice move, Hillary. I'm sure Florida appreciates your compassion and self-sacrifice. Floridians will be more than happy to listen to your partisan BS...as they dig through the rubble of what used to be their home.

Hillary Clinton hopes to capitalize on Hurricane Matthew, the Category 4 storm that threatens death and destruction in Florida and up the Eastern seaboard, with campaign ad buys on the Weather Channel.

Politico reports that the Clinton campaign has purchased $63,000 worth of ads on the go-to weather station slated to run over the course of five days in the Florida market.

Update: The Clinton campaign announced that it was delaying its Florida ad buy. “We have requested that stations in Florida delay any of those ads on the Weather Channel until after the storm passes,” Clinton campaign spokesman Jesse Ferguson said in a statement.

The original story continues below.

The purchase ensures that as Floridians are hunkering down in preparation for the tempest, they are likely to catch Clinton’s campaign pitch.

The Clinton campaign actually suspended political advertising in FL during the storm.

I am confused what you are upset about?

"Earlier in the week we made changes to our TV ad reservations across hundreds of stations in several battleground states including Florida," Jesse Ferguson, a Clinton spokesman, said. "Less than 1% of those changes included The Weather Channel.

We have requested that stations in Florida delay any of those ads on the Weather Channel until after the storm passes."

They postponed the targeted buy after public outrage forced them to.

Or she can screech about how Trump tweeted how he was right about Muslims before the bodies were even cold in that nightclub in Florida. Now that is sleazy.

Meh if the Hurricane had missed the US, Trump would have said it was because of a tweet he made.

Good thinking. Someone recognized it was in bad taste and they took immediate action.

Now will Trump stop attacking Miss Universe, release his tax returns and apologize for attacking a gold star veteran's family etc. etc. ad infinium?

Not getting the faux outrage here for something she is NOT doing.

I would think they postponed the ads because a large portion of Florida residents are evacuating...why waste money buying ads that no one is going to be there to see them.

So is public outrage good here?

Get so confused in when people should just keep it to themselves.

And if Trump had done it we'd be hearing how this makes him a "Genius."

/sigh

May random chance fall in the favor of anyone caught in the path of this monster storm.

Anyone who is truly pulling for either one of these # heads with any real sincerity has some serious mental issues. Both are complete garbage. It probably says more about the country though than them. Ignorant, fat, dirt poor, something like 70% live paycheck to paycheck. Then another 25-35% on food stamps. It's really a reflection of themselves.

Oh NO! Hillary Clinton did something that is perfectly legal and a sound strategy to get votes. What a scum bag!
