I was with him all day. When I asked if he wanted them he was already outside. I was the first one in the house and went straight for the freezer. He said he didn't take them because as mentioned earlier he wanted me to leave them in there as a backup in case we ran out . I even questioned if someone had broke in the house. Why would someone break into my house and leave all valuables and cash alone but take a single package of cigarettes?

If it clucks like a chicken...

Perfect example - thanks. Looks like i 'cockerel-ed' up.

Here i could get grumpy and swap meat-suits with a worse reality and descend where something bad happens, like a power outage.

Instead i will accept the joke and the fact that i spelled 'Foul' incorrectly and rise to be better alternate reality.

I worked for years as a counsiler to help people quit tabaco.

Talked with thousands of persons. Most if them were chronically sick.

Stop worrying about a pack, and worry about your life.

That gave me chills! Gosh I hope not!

Oh, don´t be afraid, i guess they are nice people, didn´t harm me yet.
At least i know, since i watched that movie, that i am not mad when i didn´t move from my computer, used maybe a pencil to write something down, and one second later this pencil is gone. And i will find it back later, in a complete other part of the room, with no explanation how it could end there.
It´s just "The Borrowers".
Ah, and i am never alone...
Just jokin

No teens.

No one else has a key ( doorknob lock was changed maybe 6 months ago) have lived here for 12 years.

Positive it was ciggies as the only other thing in the door of the fridge freezer was a ziplock bag of wieners. ( they smoke pack was blue)

I have searched everywhere, I'm a very organized person and it drives me absolutely crazy that they are missing, I'm losing sleep! Lol

Have you missed other items?
Felt watched?
Heard or seen odd things?
Any pets? Do they interact with someone who 'isnt there'?
I would consider paranormal reasons.
Most 'hauntings' are actually just mild stuff like that. As I said, my aunt hides my chew sometimes. I know its her b/c of a smell, or a half-second sighting, etc.

Now that you mention it, we do joke that my late father in law is haunting us. Had strange feelings, noises and such. Never put much thought into it. Never imagined he could still open the freezer in the after-life. He was a jokester

This has happened to me before with a hairbrush and car keys and couple of other items at work. The brush was always in the same place and i went from room to room looking for it and back to the bathroom to look at the same spot i knew it should be. Then suddenly it was right there, even though i know i looked there several times. Keys too.

This seems to be more of a real phenomenon than the Mandela effect. One minute its there the next it's not and then appears there again.

Must be those pesky Borrowers! lol

Can't be! What the heck are the borrowers doing with my pneumatic die grinder? Another of many abduction that have taken place. They have more of my "stuff" than I do...

They should stay put, like a cigarette should.

Unless they were Camels, of course. If so, check a mile down the road.

Heh.

Damn those remote controls!

I will never understand why some of these devices have TINY remotes. (I'm looking at you, ROKU and APPLE TV). I lose them every 3 seconds. I tried attaching a remote-controlled beeping key fob to it, but it's too damned small!!!

The strangest thing about this story is keeping smokes in the freezer.
I've never heard of it.
Is this a thing?

If she quits, will she be going 'cold turkey'

Yeah, missing things...been happening to us for years...actually, decades. Sometimes, it can be some item myself or my wife has only just put down and it's gone. Now and again, it will return and sometimes, it is never seen again.

The most recent item was my favourite teaspoon...just the right size for my coffee serving...and it vanished one day, a few weeks ago. One minute it was there in the cutlery drawer, the next time I looked, it was gone and never seen since. My wife says I must have thrown it in the bin,

Yeah, sure I did.
