The Golden question

Lets say you were given a choice.

A. Protest, riot, disunite the united states by not standing behind Bush, allowing for the fall of the United States by war with China.

or

B. Uniting under George Bush, passing legislation to strengthen our economy, supporting our commander-in-chief's military decisions in the war on terrorism, give confidence to our citizens that our economy is strengthening.

This is a black or white question with no room for gray. A. means our beautiful country falls to communism. B. means our freedom and economy thrive while keeping the rest of the world at bay.

Which would you choose?

I guess we should have done the same with NIXON!!!

IMO, it's not so much that people are coming to an agreement so much as the choices are being made with or without us but we all get dragged along for the ride.

Communism or Fascism. Not much of a difference really. At least the fascist dictator admits what he is, hence if I had to choose, in this particular instance I would back Bush.

Most here know what I think of Dubya and his poodle, Tony Blair. But Ceausescu's Romania which I visited in 87 was far worse.

B, I've also been thinking about this for the better part of a year and have come to realize that these are really the only two options we have. Other countries can stand by and eventually succumb to the fist of this growing threat but we, the world leader and 'police' have to put this potential assassin to rest before he can carry out his assignment. If he is left free to roam he will eventually grow stronger and more dangerous, doing whatever he wants at his will with no restraint. This is the only option, to decapitate him while he's still young.

I'm ready to participate in this coming global power struggle; I'm ready to fire up my turbine and draw fangs at a few Flankers and J-10s. Are you ready to support the cause on the ground?

Oh, and I don't know what you meant by

but the only real way for us, the U.S. to remain the undisputed power leader is to take out china.

Alright, I'll have a go at this one, but it will sound weird.

In my limited knowledge, I would say that it would have been better for the initial Americans to have interbred and culturally mixed with the native people of the North American continent. It would have really given the Americans a deep connection to the land (Indians had been here for 30,000 years, much longer than Adam and Eve had even existed) and they would have had nothing to lose from such actions. They would have gained so much and we are a poorer nation for the lack of this happening.

Now, I must mention that I believe in Multiple Worlds theory which says that historical events are like touchstones in time, if you will. In the 1770 decade, I believe many, many multiple worlds were spawned. My point is: Surely on some Earth, we mixed positively with the indians and became a different people. Less materialistic. That world is much richer for their decision.

Having said this, I would choose option "C", which is to dump Bush and choose someone who is willing to culturally and ethnically bond with China and mix with them. I guess I'm a commie for that suggestion. I think there's a much better place between socialism and captialism that humanity has yet to define.

Why is war the only answer?
