Would any of this have came to light, or have been a problem if he wasn't running? He'd still be using the very laws that were created against people with his mentality had he not ran. Obvious attempt at defamation is obvious.

Let's level the income playing field here for a comparison & assume little, if any, refunds. Trump and single Joe Schmoe with no dependents both pay no taxes. Let's not assume any subsidization for anything either may qualify for just yet.

Trump's millions, versus Joe's, eh, let's call it $17,000 or thereabout a year. 2 complete opposite sides of the income spectrum.

Trump uses every loophole available in the system to not pay taxes for 20 years. All's peachy, just using the stuff laid out for him there, what a savvy businessman!

Joe does the same, but Joe is considered a useless leech for not paying his fair share in taxes. Close the loopholes and institute a flat tax! Miserable bottom-feeder POS!

How the f#%# do you people manage this kind of mental gymnastics and not keel over from the G-forces?!

Yeah, nice try.

Schmo should get married.

So what about the 47% of americans that pay NO fed taxes?

And currently I really don't know who I will vote for but what Hillary did with the Clinton Foundation is far dirtier than anything I've seen from Trump.

Then your apparently not looking!

You know everything about Hillary, you know nothing about Trump until he releases his tax returns!!

Ok let's be clear here, Hillary SHOULD BE IN JAIL for how she handled numerous situations regarding national security, positions of influence, conflict of interest, all the way up to possible TREASON. The Clinton Foundation is clearly a FRAUDULENT organization as well.

So let's assume the ABSOLUTE WORST about Trump's taxes. At worst it would land him in jail.

So even assuming the worst, Trump is still less of a criminal than Hillary.

Oh by the way, he's a huge douchebag.

Fuçk this election.

Maybe you could if you were better at avoiding federal taxes.

Yeah.
Wish I could figure out how to lose money and own a jet at the same time.

Maybe you should start by figuring out that you can't lose money and own a jet, billions in property and assets and employ tens of thousands at the same time.

Maybe you should learn to see that This leak is only a tiny glimpse into one year of Trump's finances from 20 years ago.

Yeah he wasn't running then, but it is still something to look at. It isn't like the past of the canadaites are not going to be brought into question. Do we say that about everything? That since they were not running for office then it doesn't matter?

The issue is with both the IRS and the people who use the loopholes. You don't have to use the loopholes but yes in the conquest of the most profit possible you are going too. All the while the taxes still need to be collected, you know to fund things like the military, public servants, infrastructure ect. and guess who they get it from?

How many more of the wealthy are sidestepping taxes besides Trump?

Lots of them.
So obviously lets cut the taxes so they pay less than they already do!

Start collecting from the 47%.

What's good for hillary is good for Trump.

Can't do one without the other.

Besides, who was playing win or lose, with their own money?

Ever hear the saying "it takes money to make money"?

When your as rich as Trump losses mean nothing as his assets are deep.

That's how.

You seem to have missed the point. Assets are not income.

If one has loses which equal or exceed one's income one owes no tax. True.

If one has loses which equal or exceed one's income it becomes problematic when one lives a lavish life.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Of course, if his more recent tax returns were made available, it might cast light on the matter.

This is funny.

The New York Times company had an operational loss of over a billion dollars just a few years ago when they sold The Boston Globe for a tiny fraction of what they paid for it.

You can rest assured that their accountants took every tax break on that massive loss possible.

Boston Globe Sold by New York Times at Massive Loss
By Matthew Sheffield | August 3, 2013 | 11:35 AM EDT

The Boston Globe newspaper has been sold by its owner, the New York Times Company, for $70 million in cash to investor John W. Henry. Included in the deal were the Times’s stakes in two other smaller papers, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and Metro Boston, a free tabloid.

The Times had purchased the Globe company in 1993 for $1.1 billion. Adjusted for inflation, the New England Media Group operation sold for just under 4 percent of the original sale price. The all-cash deal did not include an assumption of the company’s pension debts of about $110 million which will remain with the Times Company.

Not really funny. Or relevant.

The New York times is a publicly traded corporation, owned by it's stockholders. Not a sole proprietorship. Not a closely held partnership. Not an LLC.

Trump's assets, on the other hand, are. He owns them. Him. He pays the taxes. Or not, if there is no income.

Far better than how the queen of corruption is fairing.

She's sinking faster than the Lusitania in spite of the MSM doing everything they can to bail her out.

do we know for a fact the billion was lost in one year or was only reported in the 1995 filing for prior cumulative losses over several years?

he refuses to pay his workers? if thats true im sure there are court cases where he was sued for non payment right?

multiple bankruptcies......because he owns or manages what...500 or more businesses and if he had to sacrifice a few of them that means what exactly?

i dont think you or i or any of the 99 percent have any idea at all what it entails or what it takes to do what Trump does. He is on an entirely different and much higher level than the majority of people. Maybe you dont like it, maybe you dont like him, but lets not confuse your lack of underestanding the minutia of business to mean he is not a competent business man. He is still in business, his finances are healthy (as far as we know) and so there really is no argument that hes not a good business man.....EXCEPT by those who know almost nothing about business but feel self righteous enough or confused enough to opine on a subject they know nothing about.

brilliant.

He is on an entirely different and much higher level than the majority of people.

That's what he would like you to believe. It's not really that complex.

While it is true that capital carries weight in business, that does not translate to politics.

What he's good at is telling people what they want to hear. It doesn't matter if he's right or wrong. There's a word for that. Hustler. He "wrote" a book about it.
