How can we judge who is adhering to the original philosphy and who is not
Simple ... We need to examine the ideas/philosophy of Adam Weishaupt
Then apply that to modern groups such as the one I am a member of

There's a set of documentaries that you can see on youtube called "Secret Societies - The String Pullers?"... Its a 4 episode documentary with the 2nd episode being specifically about whats known about the Illuminati's origins.

There's actually claims that once the original Illuminati was disbanded, that it actually helped them to spread, gaining influence though penetrating (already established) masonry lodges around the world... especially in the US.

It is kind of curious how similar the American governments philosophies are to Adam Weishaupt original political philosophies... just sayin.

According to This book they were very real. And concerning the following heritage, I assume, that they are still very real. I talk about this 300 at the top of the economical pyramid. They could call themselves whatever they like, but is very possible to be exactly ancestors of the old illuminati, who used their arcane knowledge for dubious purposes. I can guess that this arcane power is waning in their order, as it grew in its new-age funny scientological Frankenstein form. Power of the "way" could not persist eternally in order where the "way" is not respected. Or, it could be even true, that they never had been truly illuminated. We need to speak to the dead to get that juicy details. I can talk only to my cat, sorry.

I believe Manly was a good person, an enlightened man.. I believe he was trying to tell ;" There is a responsibility with divine knowledge " In my point of view, i believe those who has the most, should live life as it simplest and contribute more than anyone else to humanity.. Everyone of us is a blank sheet, you can fill it with anything your heart desires. But i also believe your life experience and your journey is more important than someone who fills pages with ink about their research. It becomes their subjective reality we try to grasp and imagine, based on our own experiences in life..

Yes we can speculate that the Illuminati went off the radar
When the Church and state hounded and outlawed them

However the nefarious activities they are accused of do not match up
with Adam Weishaupts surviving writings and philosphy

It is a mistaken idea to think the Illuminati are purely composed of so called elites and royal bloodlines
Indeed there were members who were of that description but not all elites were deemed intelligent enough to be considered for membership

It's in the thread.

They're a misunderstood group pushing Globalization.

I doubt they have very much central organization because their concepts are broad. The headquarters is located in Eygpt. People that support Globalization just tag themselves Illuminati most often and I wouldn't be surprised if the main organization just let's them do this.


American Farmers have clearly had their own secret societies also, and so that's on a similar medium in my mind
