I will gladly relinquish my 2nd Amendment rights when you can assure me that;

1. No criminal will ever have one
2. No criminal will ever harm me
3. I have 24/7 round the clock protection from armed security
4. I will never have the need to provide food
5. The government will never do anything that would necessitate the need for armed insurgence.

Deal?

Maybe that amendment is dated ?

Again, if you can guarantee that I will never, ever need one, if you can assure me that no one will ever harm me or my family, if you can assure me that I will never have to go hunting, if my government never will get out of hand. . . .

If you can somehow convince me that I will never "want" one just because I like Navy Colts and the "cowboy" rigs. . .

Then by all means, please negate freedoms.

But we already have background checks. i.e speed limits.

As was already mentioned. The issue is responsible adults.
Which leads into the cause of much of the country's gun violence, gangbangers not having responsible adults in their lives to show them how they should behave.

So the question becomes, how do we fix the Nation's epidemic of irresponsible people?

Is self-reliance dated?
Is personal protection dated?
Is freedom . . . . dated?

By changing out dated amendments and work together to solve the problems, if there is no changes children will continue to loose their rights, and the biggest right of them all is to let children have a right live in peace.

No one should loose the right to live, just because of an out dated other right.

I'm well aware of there is no easy solution, but the numbers in my OP should be lowered, how you guy's are doing it is your problem, i just made aware of the huge numbers of children being wictims, being gangs, bad parents or mental issues.

The point is, you can't just ignore it, even though ATS try hard to, i knew that would happen, it's a tough topic.

Just been looking at that , i think they was around 500 deaths in England and Wales last year due to gun crime , poor kids .

Sort your # America and pull your head out your ass , and don't give it the GUNS AINT THE PROBLEM BS .

THEY ARE THE PROBLEM !

But I suppose it's only your problem when , it's on your door step !

Live in the paranoid denial lives , those who don't think guns are a problem .

When my gun is in my purse it is just there, lifeless,no mind of it's own...If I ever feel the
need to remove it from my purse,I am the one who pulls the trigger,I am the one who
uses it.
I will never allow anyone to take my gun away from me!
I almost forgot...I think England doesn't allow it's citizens to be armed.I can assume, the shooters'
were not law abiding citizens.

It's always interesting to see people try to convince law-abiding rational gun owners to relinquish their rights.

I never see these people trying to get criminals to give up their firearms.

They dont care about deaths, if they did cancer would have been cured long ago.
This discussion is about control.

I have at no time said you should relinquish your rights, though a change could do some good.

Guns are NOT THE PROBLEM!!! Idiots with guns are the problems, guns just make it easier for idiots to kill people. The idiots in the above story didn't lock up their guns responsibly and kids died for it.

You're preaching this nonsense to the wrong person.

I don't give a damn about kids.

Far too many stupid, weak or otherwise useless kids who wouldn't survive to adulthood are now not only surviving but having their own useless little turds.

I blame the advancements in medicine and safety technology. These wastes of human life would have been weeded out of the gene pool in the past but now are being dragged along by our advances. And they are a great anchor holding back our continued success.

Fact is stupid people should not have access to firearms second amendment rights or otherwise. Stands to reason.

Not' really but i WISH that it would do some good instead of bad as it is now.

In my world any one should have the right to own guns, but the gun violence in the US is breaking that right.

As i said earlier, the right to live comes before the right to own guns.

And to make clear, i'm no anti gun person.

Casualty is on the people...not guns or other objects that kill them. A five year old can grab a kitchen knife...and "play" with it..." and stab his little sister...

Again...we had a woman this year murder her housemate...with a crock-pot cooker....you cant blame millions of guns. OR alcohol. drugs etc...There are more cars, knives and chemical household cleaners under the sinks...

Objects kill people.....
