actually - i spent quite a bit of time in slit trenches - and didnt " find " this alledged " god " that certain cultists claim i would

Par for the course, I'm afraid.

Make a false claim. When somebody counters/debunks it, deny it blindly and insult those that disagree. I have more than one atheist friend that has served in the military, one of which was infantry in Afghanistan. I guess he assumes that atheists will suddenly start believing when they think their life might be in danger. It's a pretty laughable argument, actually. My buddy who served in Afghanistan had his life in danger on several occasions, but not once did he suddenly believe in god.

The funny thing is that he's not that far off with the argument. Fear is one of the primary reasons people do turn to religion.
