MLK's peace marches pulled it off. They did it by having multiple movements. One completely intolerant to violence and a few more open to/accepting of it.

Which is what's needed. One to soak up all the undesirables, and one to be open to people seeking a higher path. It also allows for the peace marchers to have somewhere to shove their trouble makers after loudly and decisively telling them they are unwanted.

This is war, it needs to be treated like war. It's tactical.

Im gonna rant a bit...

Politics, instigation, idiots in groups or alone, or little factions aside... what ever happened to common decency, the minimum of civility, and not solving every single thing that offends you with violence?? Bullies in groups having tantrums is what Im seeing! Do we have a control problem here where adults are just lashing out and assaulting people they dont agree with or feel provoked by? Pretty pathetic IMO. When its done by, promoted by, and condoned by groups... we have to look long and hard at those groups. We have to seek out who is behind this and what their end game is. Ive seen WAY TOO MUCH BS lately out of BLM as a GROUP.. that is self identified by skin color. Way to go! THeyve even turned on other blacks who are trying to keep the movement on track! Violence and destruction for the sake of it... needs to be squelched. Blacks treat the word "'n-word'" like a trigger word in a mind controlled subject. They ALLOW themselves to be controlled by a WORD... ya'll better realize youre playing right into their hands. The world is seeing what they want it to see through the media. Now youre being controlled by HATS and a phrase such as "all lives matter"??? Better wise up... fast. This is not empowerment. I said this several years ago and got called a racist when I said there was a racial problem brewing and it was being pretty cleverly executed. To deny this is to be blind or purposely overlooking whats happening in the black community and black culture in the US.... and its a devilish thing thats been done. Now I see a big push by blacks to be segregated. My lord, will you all wake up and see whats being done to you yet again?!

As of now, I personally think they won. We are a divided people along racial lines... since the economic line is becoming pretty flat. You have to wonder why its blacks.. who are a minority.. against EVERYONE else of every other race and culture is being promoted. A people divided, the "we the people" the "us.. you and I" is dead as of now. Its not going to be us against them but us against us.. like the fools they believe we are. As we become more divided the federal power grows... against us ( thats you and I and whites and blacks and other races.. all of us).
I also personally dont like black culture or rap or etc.. however, I love the diversity of people. We shouldnt be all alike and I wouldnt want us all to be alike. Im happy with a certain amount of segregation so each culture is maintained but we are one PEOPLE as AMERICANS. I fear this great experiment is doomed to fail if this BS thats happening now goes on much
longer.

In the following video, a guy wears a red "Make America Great Again" hat to a BLM rally. It is not long before he is spotted, and called out, then assaulted:

Now I don't know about you's, but America is not ever going to be great again when you can't even wear a darn hat to a rally, expressing and exercising your 1st Amendment right. He had every right to be wearing that hat.

I didn't see him attacking anyone, throwing rocks through store windows, looting, jumping on cars, or anything other than just being there.

Now duh, he knew what he was getting into when he wore that hat to that rally, and then went crying like a little wimp when he got what he came for.

THAT STILL DOESN'T CHANGE THE POINT.

The 1rst Amendment is officially dead. Or, you can lose your life trying to prove me wrong. Your choice.

Idiots, the lot of em. Don't bring a knife to a gun fight, and don't wear a Trump hat to a BLM rally. Pretty easy to see this guy was asking for it, and the animals gave him what he wanted. He sounded like a pansey. Doesn't mean he should have been accosted in such a manner.

The first rule of not getting your ass kicked is to not be in a position where you can get your ass kicked.

Now I don't know why, but people seem to want to champion idiots who put themselves in such positions.

Yes, you have rights, yes there is law but before all of that there is personal responsibility and common sense.

This guy apparently had none, because - in the current divisive political and social climate, he deliberately went all out to prove he'd get his ass kicked, and then got his ass kicked, and now is complaining that he got his ass kicked.

Well, it sucks to be him

Agreed, but shouldnt even marginally civilized human beings not devolve into violence over a HAT of all things?? I mean a woman who wore a miniskirt with no panties to a biker bar and happened to get raped by drunk bikers also had some personal responsibility, but we expected some civility from human beings. We expected them to control themselves. We just cant condone or excuse away such behavior from "special" groups... regardless of what special group that is. I dont think people are championing an idiot that got what he asked for... I think the outrage is over the violence/assault over a hat being okayed by the media. SOmehow since its the special snowflakes of BLM.... violence, assaults, destruction of property, and etc is being totally condoned and excused!

I'm curious if a black guy at a KKK rally getting beat up would illicit the same shoulder shrugging from the nay-sayers here on ATS. What did he expect to happen?

Or if a scantily clad and oblivious woman got raped while she was in a bad part of town at 4AM, what a dummy right? What did she expect to happen?

When people were getting manhandled at trump rallies everyone was crying about how violent the trump supporters were. Why did your message change? Why didn't you just say "what did they expect, they are at a trump rally"

Or it's just white men who are expected to behave intelligently to avoid violence, while all other groups are free to behave however they'd like without any sense of responsibility for their own safety? Do you hypocrites have a list somewhere that shows when non-violent people are deserving of violence being perpetrated against them?

They should have laughed at him and then ignored/dismissed him. But they only reinforced the negative stereotype about themselves. They gave him exactly what he wanted. They only proved they are not following a path of righteousness but a path of revenge. When you say "well what did he expect?" you are basically saying blacks are a group of easily triggered violent individuals and it's best to not anger them.... and it should be expected that if you make blacks angry they will resort to violence.

When you ask what did he expect to happen, I'd say he should expect to come up against a group of intelligent and righteous people, because that's who we are being told this group is, but the opposite is obviously true. A group of violent idiots who only think they are righteous.

Hypocrisy.... it's a way of life for most people!

To see so called rational human beings devolve a few hundred thousand years over a damn hat is depressing. Skin color is irrelevant, but the victim looked Hispanic of sorts. Just goes to show this kind of hatred knows no bounds. These people have been so brainwashed by the BLM media narrative that Trump and all his supporters are literally Hitler and are deserving of such treatment.

I see it in this very thread by some.
Sure it's subtle but it's there.

They would be escorted away or blocked. Just like the idiots that interrupt military funerals and other emotionally charged events. No one was beaten senseless. No one was assaulted. They were treated like the idiots they were being.

Sort of reminds me of this video. I have to say in both cases the individuals used poor judgement. There is a lot of anger floating around right now, and probably people see this as a form of taunting.

Lets see if Joey took that sign to places like say Uniondale N.Y he would received the same amount of hostility ..I'd put my $$ on no! , the guys reacted the way they did because they are the ones being profiled , arrested and shot plus they are well aware of of the attempt to negate Black Lives Matter by saying all lives matter but never showed up for anything, just follow around BLM saying all lives matter..there is no such movement and these guys know it.
And it's a form of trolling

Kinda like the above.

Oh yes, violence is the response to everything... and somehow this is acceptable?? That behavior has NO place in a normal civilized society.

Would you accept that the spirit of the first amendment that most people think of when they say that, is dead?

Just curious.

That's a loaded question. 'Most people' that you are thinking of probably do think the first amendment was intended to make people immune from consequences when they speak their mind. They are wrong.

The first amendment was intended to ensure that the People were not to be persecuted by the Government for speaking their mind.

Should this guy have been beaten up, hell no.

Was this guy's first amendment infringed upon, also no.

Ok it wasn't his first amendment rights. That as you said protects from the government. His rights not to be assaulted however has. Speech is protected in that violence is from what I can tell never a legal response to bad words or dress.

Reason we need the 1st amendment, is normal law should protect people from extreme "consequences" like this from normal people already. Basic civilized law does that, it's supposed to be a given in polite society, protected by basic things like anti assault laws. Whereas protection from the government did not already do so. It is in that light that the 1st amendment was created. To further protect peoples rights to speech not simply from each other but the government who would silence us and subjugate us for daring to speak against it.

The 1st amendment is about protecting dissenting opinion from the government, because legally in polite society we're already supposed to be protected from each other.

Verbal and symbolic dissent should only be responded to with the same. If you go over into assault you have infringed upon the rights of the other person to have a dissenting opinion, not to mention risking both their life and liberty.

So I would argue the spirit of the 1st amendment has been infringed upon. As the purpose of it is to protect dissenting opinion from extreme tyrannical consequences. This was mob tyranny.

A red cap that in these circumstances might as well have
said 'Make Me a Rib Eye Again". Lunch is on Stupid.

Is there an antithetical, self-destructive martyr-like opposite of an
SJW? The irony, if it's so: starved for attention and they ate him.
