HELP WANTED: Moderators needed

Above Top Secret needs you.

After about 16 months in its current iteration, and almost three months with the improved server and features, we're growing fast with no real end in sight (yet).

After some discussion in Cosmic, and blessing from the grand inquisitor himself, Simon, we've decided to expand our base of moderators. This decision is not a way to bring more into the private cult of the Cosmic forum, instead, it's a way to help maintain the quality of posts and content, as we continue to grow.

All current moderators will be elevated to the role of "Super Moderator". This status allows moderation of all forums (which is how their roles are assigned now anyway). Next, we will be selecting one new moderator for each forum on Above Top Secret. Forum moderators will be responsible for the quality of posts in the forums, keeping the general peace, the streets clean, trash collected, kittens rescued, and virgins protected.

If you would like to be considered for a forum moderator (including someone to run the debate forum), you should qualify under one of two conditions:
1) Have more than 400 posts and be generally considered a quality contributor
2) Have registered on Above Top Secret more than nine months ago (and also a quality contributor)
(Netchicken wanted animal sacrifices, but his condition lost out in a narrow vote of 6-5)

To be considered, send any moderator a U2U with your plea on why you should be a moderator for ATS. Your plea will be posted in the Cosmic forum and we will contemplate your worthiness. (Be advised that new moderators undergo an intense hazing period that involves scrubbing the Cosmic floors, replacing Thomas' beer keg, and cleaning Alien's refrigerator among other things) Also indicate the top three forums you would like to moderate.

In addition, I'd like to ask our members if we have any Linux gurus or PHP programming heros who would like to volunteer to contribute to the project of making ATS bigger, better, and the best performing most secure forum on the Internet. If you're interested in this, send me a U2U.

Well, I can't be one. I don't have near 400 posts. I've only been here a few weeks...

and I have a rap sheet on not protecting virgins - 2 offenses, by the way people, you get 18 to 21 years for each one of these.

BUT, I'll be glad to wash the dishes every once in a while, just let me know.

I don't see why one has to have been on here for 9 months to be a decent Mod. If you ask me you are missing out on a lot of good options cause of this regulation.
