It's like being in highschool all over again.

Most agreed....

This resembles more of a high school presidential election than one that holds the future of the country at stake.......

Next Trump is going to be claiming more recess time if elected........

There is no argument against having entertaining presidential debates, despite the subjective lamenting of fundamentalists. I think a fireworks display and Beiber show at half-time might be the ticket.

entertainment is one thing.......

Acting completely unpresidential and engaging in tactics that are more at home on a 4th grade playground are another.

This country and its candidates are moving into the realm of "Idiocracy" and Trump supporters are cheering it on.....

We should be holding our world leaders to a much higher standard, not encouraging the lowest common denominator .......

Politics is an act, but the people who treat it like theatre, who demand a better actor, a "presidential" one, deserve that display if it keeps them satiated. Actors are good at being insincere. To me, the aesthetic claims of the sort that require the candidate to be "presidential" are signs of the thread-bare assumptions of a political orthodoxy, an appeal to tradition and conformity, not to mention outright snobbery.

Most of the people watching the debates will have already made up their minds, just as those who are posting in this thread have. It's not hard to tell who you are for. To the point of the OP< trolling or bringing up Bill would be a bad idea. The best thing for Trump to do is act presidential and not allow himself to be trolled by Clinton, i.e.: Be provoked into an emotional response. This is likely to be a highly-scripted "debate." You can be sure that both sides are prepping with "If he says this, say that." Trump may be able to get in some one-liners, but the basic idea is to stay on script.

But the laws they write and implement on the citizenry matters. Sex is natural, just happens.

I think you're confusing someone who acts presidential by playing a roll and someone who acts presidential because that is just their personality type.

When people say they want someone who acts presidential they don't mean it like how an actor acts. They mean someone who actually acts like a well educated and mature adult who understands the seriousness of what it means to be President.

Unfortunately Trump isn't even able to Act Presidential even when he's acting.

Having a lot of money doesn't necessarily make you an intellectual (just look at Trump), and not being rich doesn't necessarily mean you are not an intellectual.

Sure coz we all know that you can just think food onto the table.

Pay the rent with a single thought!

Put gas in the car with a brain fart!

Those people should just write a book and stay outta the way.

What do you mean Trump "should" troll Clinton in the debate? He will most certainly troll. What else does he have? Hard plans and a firm grasp of the issues? Nope.

Trolling is how he got past the legitimate GOP contenders. It won't work at this stage.

Speak for yourself.

Sure, the low-information voters only remember the vapid one-liners (because most of it goes over their heads), but the rest of us are paying attention to more important stuff.

That's why Trump's insults work so well with his base.

I think you are partly correct, but if we look deeper I think people are just sick of the jokes we have been presented for the highest office, in our land.

One liner make it easier to digest.

Sad days in our country for sure.
