Imagine the amount of policy 'payback' to Saudi Arabia, a President HRC will have to deliver.

Well this is just a delaying action. The senate and congress have said they will over ride this veto.

No , this is just another show to the Muslim world that they have Obama's full support. Remember , the bill was passed unanimously by Congress. Meaning it had full Dem support as well

Just Obama showing his true agenda one more time.

Then why is it we can sue Iran? That happened and the families won which is insane. Yet, somehow we can't with SA? Huh? Corruption is why.

So if we make a mistake once then we should make it a law and do it over and over? Sounds like a bad idea this time like it was then.

Not sure that's a good idea, The precedent would be other countries sueing the U.S government in similar circumstances

Whose assets are they going to be going after here? If its the Saudi government that opens up the possibility of the Saudi's do the same to US assets. It also bypasses international courts and diplomacy.

Ahh but saudi would have to prove wrongdoing to the saudis by the US,and thats un likely or we remove their protection and US made armaments.

I could be wrong about this I havent read the bill, but wouldnt this open up our own service men and women for lawsuits? Ive heard this agument. If so it could be a big can of worms if other countries could sue our military.

but if the U.S. military isn`t doing anything wrong or illegal then why would they have to worry about being sued?

LOL

basically that`s an admission of guilt, we don`t want you to sue us because, we know we would lose.

if you`re afraid to face a court of law it`s probably because you know you`re guilty and will be found guilty.

edit on 23-9-2016 by Tardacus because: (no reason given)

Seems that him and friends are scared of what may show from the Saudi side's defense when this being brought to court.

Override in 3-2-1...

However, it would be fascinating if the Saudi Arabians decided to dump all information they possess regarding the nefarious dealings of the USA and its CIA.

Can they do that? I thought the President had veto power on bills passed by Congress and the Senate, and they had to pass any bill the President puts forward. But can they veto his veto?
