“The group accessed athlete data, including confidential medical data…related to the Rio Games; and, subsequently released some of the data in the public domain, accompanied by the threat that they will release more,” WADA said.

Looks like this was a response to all the Russian Athletes that were banned for Para Olympics. Lets look what the hackers found out.
The Hacker Fancy Bear, created a website for the release of the hacked files. The leaked files and the documents are in the links given below

There has been 4 separate Batches of Leaks,

Part 1

Simone Biles
Elena Delle Donne
Serena & Venus Williams

For some reason copy paste is not working so i just decided to take screen shots, those who want to see the documents themselves can take a look at the link below

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Below is the twitter Handle of the Hacker

That is frankly a lot of western athletes involved in doping, I knew WADA was not clean, but this is something which i never expected. Also explains why western athletes have been doing so well in the Olympics. There are yet more names to come. Looks like nothing is believable these days. Selected athletes allowed to have performance enhancing drugs, while others have to work their asses of just to get to the Olympics. This is only the list of drugs which are known, makes me wonder if they are trying anything new. Am i just simply supposed to believe the medal winning athletes are taking performance enhancing drugs for "Health" reasons ? Worst of all, such big news is competently ignored by the Media and instead focusing on how "evil Russian hacker hacked into innocent poor little WADA".

Well of course its a bunch of politics that only the Russians should be banned. The Olympics are supposed to be the arena that leaves out politics, right?

If they can't keep from letting political agendas in the door they should just ban the whole event.

"We're sorry to inform everyone that the committee is high on politics so the games are cancelled until further notice."

Is this why the female US gymnastics team look like strange dwarf/frog-like creatures? The eyes are wide apart, wide shoulders, and no necks.

well this is disappointing... just like in "natural" bodybuilding shows. Athletes cheat and claim to be all natural but aren't. Cheater cheater pumpkin eater!

The gymnast get that way after hours and hours of training and at that level, the nutrition that goes with it. Their 'natural growth' gets stunted. Add the numerous injuries and it is painkillers at the age of 17...

Similar athletes that "show" their game-

Wrestlers --- Cauliflower ears and a lesser extent Boxers.

Ballet Dancers --- Bad feet and legs.

Weightlifters --- Big guts, compressed discs.

The doping continues...

Goo-- Great thing that the wrecked athletes cannot turn to Cannabis to alleviate the injuries, they can turn to FDA™/DEA™ approved remedies...

I'd also like to add that the OlimpDicks is nothing but a Money-Grab at the HIGHest extent. The IOC™ is nothing but a Slush-Fund that equals that of BOTH U.S. POTUS Candidates..

HBO™ did a Olympics Show and it showed how the places that have held Olympics are broke. If You get a chance it is worth the view..

This list is of people who have exemptions for genuine medical reasons, not dopers.

Unless you're saying medication for an anaphylactic reaction is doping?

Selected athletes have exemptions e.g to treat illness. They are called therapeutic use exemptions and are recorded and managed. This is not doping, but it is scraping the barrel and trying to make out that state supported and endemic doping in Russia is somehow the norm. It is not.

All that, and the fact that certain athletic activities tend to require a particular body type. In the NFL, running backs usually differ quite a bit from defensive linemen.
Most female Olympic gymnasts are short because they still young when they reach their peak. They may look like dwarves because they have more muscle mass in their shoulders and legs than 'typical' girls at their age.

How ironic. The Russians went to all that trouble to hide their doping, and got caught. But really, all they had to do was to file a document claiming the athlete needs the banned substance for "medical reasons." Just like everybody else does

ETA: At least a couple of the US track & field runners were known dopers. Tyson Gay, for example. A few of the other athletes even said that he shouldn't have been allowed to compete.

I think I read somewhere a few weeks ago that some athletes had wavers for certain medications used to treat injuries. I remember biles and the Williams sisters were on that list.
I will try to find where I read that.

Here are a few.

Sometimes, you have to take a medication and you have no idea how easy it is to end up dinged for something you get prescribed that ends up on that list.

It's why we all had to see the same sports medicine doctor when I was competing in college and he even had to prescribe up allergy stuff that most people would simply get OTC. You were NOT supposed to just buy something for yourself like normal people would ... you know, because you never knew when the pee test people would show up and demand that random folks pee in that cup.

I used to sweat it every time because I was on an inhaler, allergy stuff, and migraine meds all throughout my athletic career. I used to worry that the narcotics at at least would catch me out, but my documents must have been up to date or something.

A bit off-topic, but does anybody remember the Chinese women's gymnasts at the Beijing Olympics? It was widely commented on that those girls looked really young, almost certainly too young to be in the Olympics. (Smaller, lighter people have an advantage in gymnastics.) Presumably, China selected a bunch of 12-year-olds and gave them false IDs saying they were older. That sort of cheating could not happen without state involvement. Yet everyone just sort of shrugged and let it slide.

Face it, cheating is as much an Olympic sport as running or swimming. And they do award medals for it.

If it was that easy.

1. The Russians were caught and the government was complicit in a systematic doping programme. That was proven and reports were issued.
2. WADA was hacked and results of some athletes released, including those on medication. That is not doping.

Ah, but they were not. Russia had a programme of state supported doping.
