When you're in the mood for an intellectual exercise instead of action or adventure, check out The Man From Earth. Wonderful movie!

Another one I love is The Age of Adaline

The Krays
Cold Mountain
The Sting
Last of Mohicans (Wes Studi's cliff scene--his eyes, his emotions--astonishingly powerful)
McFarland (I am not a Costner fan, but this movie offers plenty of endearing character portrayals)
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly (Any/all of Eastwood's spaghetti-westerns)
Mickey Blue Eyes

Peeple, I am showing great restraint by recommending ONE as per your request.

Black Orpheus is an amazing cinematic masterpiece. Filmed in Brazil in 1959. The score, scenery, and acting are vibrant, beautiful. Based on the Greek myth Orpheus and Eurydice.

Have a fun weekend!

The Others

A 2001 "supernatural gothic" film that I think was one of the best movies of the last 20 years or so.
The setting, the vibe is incredible.

Another good one is Snatch (2000) with Brad Pitt and Jason Statham. Statham's character "Turkish" is brilliant.

The "Godfather" series 1, 2 and 3. (My favorite)

The "Omen" series which is a take on revelations. (Very well done)

The "Sixth Sense" (A movie that blows your mind at the end)

Thanks a lot to all of you.

Just finished Indy and it was great! Fantastic popcorn movie. Next stop, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind.

Apparently I have to dig myself a hole and rot in it, because I have not seen it yet...
But keep it coming, there's still a lot of weekend ahead!

I always liked Green Inferno and its socially conscious message about sustainable eating habits.

"Quest for Fire"
An 80's film about what the title is...

Not one word spoken, caveman time.

"The ice pirates"
Another 80's classic, this time its sci-fi.
Water is most valuable thing in the universe, its a cheesy light-hearted comedy/drama/fun movie
edit on 23/9/16 by SecretKnowledge because: Gots to add the cheese....
